Gustavo Dudamel die Wiener
Philharmoniker im Schönbrunner
Schlosspark beim Sommernachtskonzert.
Zehntausende sind gratis
vor Ort, ein Millionen-Publikum
sieht via TV zu. Ebenso zum Nulltarif
gibt es „Oper live am Platz“:
20 Aufführungen werden auf eine
Leinwand vor die Staatsoper übertragen.
Jeden Samstag spielen die Original
Hoch- und Deutschmeister im
Inneren Burghof Musik von Johann
Strauß, Robert Stolz und Franz
Lehár. Beim Donauinselfest,
Europas größter Gratis-Open-Air-
Party, gibt Musik von heute den Ton
an. Partystimmung herrscht auch
bei der Regenbogenparade, bei der
die schwul-lesbische Community
einmal um die Ringstraße zieht.

[E] The Summer Night Concert on
June 7 will feature the Venezuelan
Gustavo Dudamel conducting the
Vienna Philharmonic in the gardens
of Schönbrunn Palace. Tens of
thousands will listen to the concert
live, and millions will watch it on TV.
Admission is also free to “Live Opera
on the Square”, with 20 performances
broadcast live to a vidiwall
outside the Vienna State Opera.
Every Saturday the “Original Hoch-
und Deutschmeister” will perform
the music of Johann Strauss,
Robert Stolz and Franz Lehár in
the inner courtyard of the Imperial
Palace. At the Danube Island Festival,
Europe’s biggest free open-air
party, it is the music of today that
sets the tone. A party mood will
also prevail at the Rainbow Parade,
when the lesbigay community takes
to the Ringstrasse boulevard.
