TEMPORARY POSITION OF LEGAL ADVISER, SERVICE COMMISSIONS (GROUP III), SERVICE COMMISSIONS DEPARTMENT 

Minimum Requirements and Training 

Extensive experience in professional legal work specializing in Administrative Law and Constitutional Law, and training as evidenced 

by possession of the Legal Education Certificate or its equivalent from an accredited institution. 

Necessary Special Requirement 

Evidence of having been admitted to practice as at Attorney-at-law in Trinidad and Tobago. 

Kind of Work 

Through the Office of the Director of Personnel Administration, advises the Service Commissions on various aspects of applicable 

Law. 

Conducts research in different aspects of Administrative Law and Constitutional Law and Human Resource Management with a 

view to formulating recommendations on matters of policy for approval and implementation by the Commission. 

Liaises with counterparts in the Offices of the Attorney General, Solicitor General and Ministries as appropriate on legal matters 

relating to the business of the Service Commissions. 

Prepares proposals for draft amendments to existing laws or for introduction of new legislation pertaining to the functions of the 

Service Commissions for submission to the Legislative Drafting Division. 

Performs related work as may be required. 

Supervises a Senior State Counsel and State Counsel II. 

Salary 

Group III: $12,300 per month (1998).

ENHANCE THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING 

TENDERS are invited for the supply, delivery, installation and configuration of the following four (4) projects:

Tenderers are required to pay a tender deposit of five hundred dollars ($500.00) payable by cash or certified cheque to the Director 

of Contracts and attach the original receipt to their tender. 

A pre-tender meeting will be held at the Ministry of Housing, Second Floor (Conference Room), 44–46, South Quay, Port-of-Spain, 

at 9.00 a.m. on Monday 2nd September, 2002.
