articles and sector specific <strong>report</strong>s.<br />

Efforts are on to regularly strengthen the exist<strong>in</strong>g laboratories, <strong>ac</strong>quire softwares and research<br />
journals to support research <strong>ac</strong>tivities. The University has already entered <strong>in</strong>to <strong>ac</strong>ademic<br />
alliances with <strong>in</strong>ternational <strong>in</strong>stitutions for te<strong>ac</strong>h<strong>in</strong>g, research and mutual exchange of f<strong>ac</strong>ulty<br />
and students.<br />
F<strong>in</strong>ancial <strong>in</strong>centive plan is <strong>in</strong> pl<strong>ac</strong>e to<br />
encourage both the students and f<strong>ac</strong>ulty to<br />
contribute towards research and participate<br />
<strong>in</strong> national and <strong>in</strong>ternational conferences and<br />
sem<strong>in</strong>ars. Its effort towards research and<br />
consultancy has resulted <strong>in</strong> publication of<br />
quality research papers and <strong>in</strong>dustry<br />
sponsored research projects undertaken by<br />
the f<strong>ac</strong>ulty and students. The University has<br />
already started Ph.D. program <strong>in</strong> eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g,<br />
management and pharm<strong>ac</strong>y discipl<strong>in</strong>es and<br />
the same shall be extended to others. The professionals work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> corporate and government<br />
<strong>in</strong>stitutions are also encouraged to undertake research studies. The University ord<strong>in</strong>ance<br />
govern<strong>in</strong>g the Ph.D. program is <strong>in</strong> consonance with the latest guidel<strong>in</strong>es of the UGC.<br />
