Faggot!! Hater!! These are powerful hurtful words. Neither can promote the cause of peace.
Someone calling another a “hater” because they hold a certain belief (religious or otherwise)
is just as damaging to the cause of equality and understanding, as someone judging a Gay
for their beliefs.
I have a very dear gay “brother” whom I love without equivocation. I love him for who he
is, not for what he does. I do not judge his lifestyle, and would hope that he does not judge
mine. Everyone, please, comprehend, that a Gay is not a “Sinner” for their lifestyle any
more than you are for yours. “For all fall short” my friends.
Gays and their supporters need to understand, that someone is not a “Hater” because they
do not support the agenda of the LGBT community. Do not seek retribution, because public
opinion has swung in your favor. Instead let us all seek true peace, where we understand
that a life contrary to our own, does not make it open to our judgment.
STYLE STAGE CELEBRITY JUDGE PROFILE
My name is Franz Szony, and I am but a boy who
paints with his camera. I approach photography
from an illustrator’s perspective. Although my
technique is more modern than my aesthetic,
I deem to create a wondrous illusion that is
photo-real. This way, the viewer can believe the
illustration (no matter how fantastical) actually
exists.
I blend my Neoteric perspective with my devotion
to the Rococo, in essence this becomes my
mantra to create a lush world that is ambiguous
in character. An image that is unclassifiable
in time or place with a celebration of the
androgynous. My combination of traditional
theatrical tricks together with digital illustration
techniques create the illusion of a painting,
even though the image is actually a photograph.
I do believe in beauty, but I also believe in the
intention and thought behind that beauty. In my
work the imagery is seductive, but the feeling will
encourage you to understand the story. Much of
my work is inspired by my dreams. The worlds
and characters I’ve dreamt have influenced both
minute details as well as entire works of art...
visually and emotionally. The diary I keep next
to my bed has been filled with sketches over
the years. Most people think that when we are
asleep, we are unconscious. However, many
studies show that we are more conscious when
we sleep than when we are awake. If so, I can’t
help but think our dreams to be more real and
truthful than the physical world.
If you can respond to the beauty, look deeper for
the feeling, then go even further, you can find the
“space between your thoughts.” My intention is
to inspire the viewer into this state of mind. If I
can propel the onlooker into a transcendental
daydream, my magic has worked.
Fashion Photographer
http://franzszony.com #franzszony
To elicit a response to an image requires a good
subject and an even greater photographer with a
vision to share. How do you judge what makes a
good photograph? Art is subjective. What gives
the photographer an artistic eye?
Franz Szony grew up in Nevada. As the son of a
casino manager, he watched all the shows that
came to town. The show’s costumes clearly have
affected his work.
He enrolled in art classes at the age of five and
the legend was born. Lucky for us at an early
age, Franz realized that he was destined to be an
artist. He immersed himself in the craft by studying
the history of photography and the techniques of
other photographers then perfected his own style
that would set him apart. Coming into his own
over the years has had its ups and downs but
he never lost sight of his path. He has no regrets
and thinks the word “regret” should be banned.
With the closing of Szony’s first show in Los
Angeles, and after he finished perfume ads for
fashion designer, Furne One, I wanted to know
more about Szony’s path and how he perfected
his “artistic eye”.
I like to think of my photography in the terms of
fashion. My fine art photography is my couture,
and customer-commissions are my ready to wear.
However sometimes these cross paths, and my
customer commissions want the fine art, this is
almost always in the form of advertisements.
My fine art photography (like couture) is my
vision completely; it represents the fantasy
and the unattainable.

FURNE
AMATO

STYLE STAGE CELEBRITY JUDGE PROFILE
Amato Haute Couture and brand, Furne One,
created by eccentric fashion designer, Furne
Amato has never been more sought after. This
illustrious creative is esteemed worldwide
in the fashion and entertainment industries in
anticipation of each lavished couture piece that
graces bodies of the glamorous. It’s no wonder it
wasn’t long before Amato’s Dubai-based designs
and face were foreseen to take the red carpet
and center stage, globally.
From an early age living in the Philippines,
young Furne was captivated by fashion. Already
sketching at age ten, he used his inherent
interest in aesthetics, gleaning appreciation from
his Mother and Grandmother’s own admiration
for beautiful appealing apparel.
By 1994, Josie Natori and other foundational
fashion players took notice after his competitive
win for the MEGA Magazine Young Designer
of the Philippines Award with his Furne One
line. He was Natori offered an apprenticeship
by Natori, herself, at her design house in New
York. That same year, Amato received the first
prize at Japan’s Women’s Wear Awards. All of
his exploration and intrigue paid off, as his next
notable accolade was as finalist at Manila’s
Fashion Designer Awards three years later.
In 2002, the elite clientele in Dubai were thrilled
as Furne opened his first boutique. He called it,
Amato. Meaning “beloved,” it was no wonder his
idolizing patrons had first glimpses of Furne’s
unique creations. Again, Amato’s work set
the stage for an inundation of offers including
Swarovski’s request for a highly embellished
bridal dress for their 2007 limited edition book,
Unbridled. This opened a collection partnership
with them yet again for its Crystalised Swarovski
Elements events.
Celebrity Fashion Designer
http://amatohautecouture.com & http://furneone.com
In 2008, Germany’s Next Top Model invited
Amato as a special guest designer for the show’s
season finale with supermodel, Heidi Klum.
This initiative launched international response,
and influenced his repeat role for the following
three years!
While International Fashion Week(s) from
London, Dubai, Los Angeles and Miami, desired
this rising designer on their catwalk, he was
marked as a favorite, bringing monumental
success. This brought the acclaim of celebrity
status, as sensations including: supermodel,
Heidi Klum, and singers, Jennifer Lopez, Katy
Perry, Shakira, Nicole Scherzinger, Amber Rose
and Nicki Minaj considered his creations a must-
have. Excitedly, the brands’ first boutique in the
US opened successfully in Los Angeles (2012)
with more cities to come. Furne One and Amato
Couture are a result of diligence.
With so many talented designers it’s interesting
to include that he believes his luck was inclusive
of “being in the right place at the right time.”
Either way, it is time for Furne Amato to shine.

Lanie is a beautiful Shiba Inu mix with a sweet, easygoing and good-natured personality. The mellow
5-year-old was found wandering the streets, searching for the family she had lost and eventually made
her way to the Arizona Humane Society.
There are many wonderful qualities about a dog who is already broken in/housetrained, leash-trained,
having a grasp of basic commands and Lanie is all that, as well as loving and loyal. When she isn’t happily
chewing a bone and lying at your feet, she enjoys mingling with other dogs and showing off the tricks she
has mastered. She prefers a life of leisure and this quite canine is the ultimate house pet. However, when
she hears the leash jingle, she leaps to her paws and is ready to explore. She enjoys a casual stroll around
the park each morning. Bring the whole family down to meet this sensational canine.
Lanie is available NOW at the Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix.
Her adoption fee is only $35 and includes her spay surgery and vaccines.
Upon our initial meeting with the Scottsdale Museum of
Contemporary Art (SMoCA), the museum development
staff charged us with creating an exciting new benefit
gala that raises funds to support the mission and vision
of SMoCA. “Night Circus at SMoCA” is loosely based
on the novel “Night Circus” by Erin Morgenstern. This
inaugural fundraising event was created to benefit the
Museum, its exhibitions and arts education/outreach
programs. The goals of the museum were to engage
the community, raising visibility in the community of the
Museum’s programming and fundraising.
The evening was designed to immerse guests in a wildly
colorful arena. Intriguingly costumed characters in custom
environmental installations were designed alongside the
living art, video art and décor of each gallery and supported
an entire and complete engagement of the senses.
The Museum galleries and Sky Space were individually
transformed into thematic surreal magical, dream-like
circus environments. Each turned into a new environment
beckoning guests as they encounter ‘living art, immersive
videos, tables serving delectable treats, peruse a variety
of chef-prepared food stations and signature cocktails
created especially for this event. This site specific event
in its design as a immersive labyrinth and experience that
engulfed the museum and also brought focus at the end
of the labyrinth to the existing MASH-UP Exhibition at the
time of the gala still showing at the museum.

Artistic Director, Gregangelo Herrera,
has been performing in the arts for
the last 30 years. He is a graduate
of CCA with a multi-media degree
with an emphasis on textiles and
costume design, his signature
aesthetic fuses multicultural,
multigenerational designs with
science and technology. His team
of twelve artists for this event
included, film makers, multimedia
artists, costumers, make-up artists,
a libretto, musical composition,
sculptors, animators, riggers and
technical specialists. Conceptually for
the event it was a year in planning
and execution, this event was made
financially possible for SMoCA by a
partial sponsorship. Financially for
Gregangelo & Velocity, the event was
made possible by design and use of
our existing inventory of many years
of costumes, props, equipment
and music created by Gregangelo
& Velocity Arts and Entertainment
over the years for commissions that
included the de Young Museum’s
John Paul Gaultier exhibition, “From
the Sidewalk to the Catwalk”, The de
Young’s commission of costumes for
public programs surrounding “The
Treasures of King Tut” exhibition
and other museum commissions as
well as a commission from the HBO
Game of Thrones. All of the Media,
films and video were site specific
and custom created for Night
Circus at the Scottsdale Museum of
Contemporary Art.
Featured in the Red Lounge was an extraordinary haute couture costume inspired and created for public programs surrounding the Jean Paul
Gaultier exhibition at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. This costume “Gilded Lady” was created in house, along with several costumes
for the de Young programs. The aesthetics of the permanent SMoCA Lounge Installation created in 2011 “Beneath the Wave” designed by Janis
with assistance from Effie Bouras created a perfect backdrop for the “Gilded Lady’s” gold infusion. the Egyptian costumes that accompanied the
Gilded Lady in the Red Lounge were created for the Treasures of King Tut Exhibition also at the de Young Museum in San Francisco, this living,
moving installations of haute couture costumes meet performers in ancient to contemporary attire were leashed together via three red organza
ribbons to show transition and connection of time and fashion from ancient to contemporary, the film lighting and projecting behind the living
installation was designed to showcase imagery and transitions of the sun from ancient to contemporary.

The planetary seasons were represented In the Night Garden by opulent hand crafted,
detailed large scale umbrella “trees” we crafted alongside opulent costumes for each
umbrella “tree”. These umbrella “trees” represented trees throughout the various
seasons in their respective colors and design. These “trees” of seasons also served as
environments where themed characters to the season and guests immersed themselves
interacting, mingling and playing. Characters in the Night Garden included an Ice Empress,
living flora and fauna carnivorous plants, green queen, 10 foot living tree, aerial pan,
satyr, queen nymph and a water sprite. The soundscape we create for the environment
used classical music inspired by natural world flora and fauna, layered with wind, water
birds and other wildlife to create an actual sensation of being in nature.

STAR WARS - PART 2 (Welcome to the future) - The lights are on but nobody’s home!
Disinformation is the new God! Welcome to the future! So how do you find your way through the minefield of
dis-information in this new style-code digital war zone? How, for example, cool, is cool anymore? How do you read
the signs and decode the messages of digital wonderland? Well, here are some useful tips! If, like 99% of the people
working in current music, fashion, art & design, you are simply imitating someone else’s idea and trying to pass
them off as your own! And have slowly woken up to the horrifying reality that fashion and all of the other related
industries are in a state of grossly mediocre uniformity and a terminal meltdown! However much you hide your
head under the cover of outdated branding and marketing smog, it ain’t gonna go away, brothers and sisters!!

So space cadets! Turn On! Tune In! Plug your brain in and see if you can get get a little spark
of imagination, enlightenment and originality churning away in that junk food damaged
consciousness and discover an antidote to all the pseudo junk culture designer tyranny
of passionless conformist aggressive normality!
So! Fasten your safety belt’s because here we go!
1. If you are a company don’t build brands! Sell images and ideas! We’re moving into a post
branding, post marketing, post commodification culture (and you can trust me on this.
I get paid a lot of money for this kind of disinformation).
2. Sell the product as entertainment! today we are all in the entertainment industry!
Whatever your chosen profession, you have to give the best show possible (or someone
else will). So, you have five seconds to get your act together and get yourself in the frame!
And you better improve those communication skills! learning to read might be a good start,
there’s this cool thing called literature & history! ever heard of it? and don’t talk to me
about ‘passion’ or ‘on trend’! This really is for people with an imagination by pass!
3. Don’t react to trends, don’t follow them, don’t spot them, why? Because they don’t exist,
they are simply a figment of your own and someone else’s artificially created illusions!
4. Ignore the fashion press (Apart from FFM that is! As they publish me, they either know
something the rest of you don’t know or, have a self destruct mechanism!)
5. The concept of fashion is for people living in a time warp.
6. Avoid the next big thing kind of hype!
7. Don’t hire people with qualifications, fire them! Hire people with talent, ideas
and imagination!
STYLE GURU | UNITED KINGDOM
8. Don’t hire trend scouts or stylists, fire them! There are no trends and anyway these
people are well past their sell by date, with no ideas at all, certainly none of their own!
9. If you need a stylist you are third rate no hope schmuck anyway! Did the Beatles,
Rolling Stones, Velvet Underground, David Bowie, Roxy Music, Captain Beefheart,
Kraftwerk, Joy Division, Sex Pistols, The Clash, etc, etc... need stylists?
10. There are no age group categories anymore, only scenes and cultures! Age space & time...
have no meaning, in a world of middle aged twenty something’s lost in their new global
retrocentric terminal conformity or geriatric hipsters with the sixties still flowing through
their veins like an acid latté!
OK, here we go! Fasten those safety belts and get ready to kick out the jams, brothers and sisters!
TEUTONIC ZEN! Here beginneth the 1st lesson!
The prime mover! The key element! The coded alchemy of what was and is really happening!
Blue eyes stare and the look is cool, hard and minimal, in the cafe’s bars and clubs of Berlin’s neon, steel and concrete
subculture. The music relentless, pulsing, driving, electronic! So cool that it’s hot! An irresistible, addictive alchemy
of sexuality and noise. It’s the look and indeed sound that’s been threatening to explode around the world for almost
two decades! Where are we? Where else but Germany!
A very late arrival at it’s own party, Germany seems blissfully unaware that it created the key elements of audio-visual
style culture, that have been pirated by style-gangsters around the world ever since Kraftwerk programmed their first
beat, and Rainer Werner Fassbinder shot his first Polaroid. Without Kraftwerk, much of contemporary music/looks
and practically all dance music would simply not exist, to listen to their 1977 recording of “Trans Europa Express”
is to listen to a piece of music unbelievably ahead of it’s time. Their visual style was of equal importance, along with
DAF, Die Krupps, Einsturzsnde Neubauten, Malaria and many others, who, unlike most of their contemporaries who
desperately tried to imitate the Anglo-American look and sound, they and Kraftwerk with a brilliant stroke of strategic
irony, celebrated their own national cliché’s and invented the future, creating a definitive style, look and sound, that
has been globally imitated and plagiarised ever since. The late German film director Rainer Werner Fassbinder, was
equally innovative and was the first post war German film director to actually create a German aesthetic, by portraying
“Germans as Germans” with all the conflict, passion, melancholy and warped longing, that implied. The images
portrayed in his films are disturbingly beautiful, even today ,the actors and actresses in these films have a unique
beauty and power which is hard to define but, unmistakably German. Like Kraftwerk, Fassbinder was far more admired
and respected internationally than in Germany, indeed film makers such as David Lynch and many contemporary
Anglo-American directors refer to Fassbinder as the Hitchcock of his time.
The list of German Artists who are the elements of this powerful and potent alchemy is endless and of course stretches
back to Fritz Lang and Leni Riefenstahl. It should also be remembered that it was Germany that first seriously
embraced the Yohji Yamamoto aesthetic! And indeed Yohji went on to develop close friendships with Pina Bausch, the
most innovative and visually stylish dance theatre in the world, for whom he designed the most stunning costumes and
sets! And also with the innovative German film director Wim Wenders.
So all you retro timewarpers out there, better start studying your history and find out where the real source material is!
Forget ‘rock/punk/grunge revivals’ and start living in the ‘cool teutonic 21st century’!!!
OK that’s it, style junkies! What are you doing reading this stuff anyway? Get a girlfriend/boyfriend, get a life, invent
something, create something, design the future! Go out and get some fresh air! And remember, Facebook is the last exit
before death for terminally, prematurely middle-aged losers!
What else!!!! Well, if you want to get connected to the rest of the key future alchemy, then you better take your next
vacation in China, Japan or Korea, because that’s where anything cool, happening and alive is going to be coming from
(other than Berlin that is!).
