Eligibility for Degree & PG Courses<br />

PG Courses<br />

Qualification & Minimum Marks: : Candidates must have passed graduation in concerned field from<br />

any recognized <strong>University</strong> and should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in BPT, B.Sc. MLT, B.Sc.<br />

Microbiology, B.Sc. Medical Microbiology, B.Sc. Medical Biochemistry or equivalent qualifying examination.<br />

UG Courses :<br />

Qualification & Minimum Marks:<br />

The Candidates must have passed the 10+2, i.e. ISC/Intermediate examination or its equivalent examination<br />

of any recognized Indian Board / <strong>University</strong> with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English subjects with a<br />

minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together for BPT and 45% marks for all<br />

other courses.<br />

Note: In respect of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes / Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward<br />

Classes, the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ English taken together in the<br />

qualifying examination shall be 45% for BPT and 40% for other courses.<br />

Note: Candidates having Health Care Sciences/Biotechnology are also eligible for all undergraduate<br />

courses.<br />

Note: Candidate with Maths/Computer Science/Statistics/Electronics/Psychology instead of Biology<br />

are also eligible for admission into BASLP course.<br />

Age: Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31 st December of the admission year.<br />

Eligibility for Diploma/Certificate Courses<br />

Qualification & Minimum Marks:<br />

Candidates must have passed the 10+2, i.e. ICSE / Intermediate examination or its equivalent examination<br />

of any recognized Indian Board / <strong>University</strong> with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Maths subjects and must<br />

have secured a minimum of 45% marks. Pass in English is a must at 12 th standard.<br />

Age: Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31 st December of the admission year.<br />

For DNT Course candidates should have passed the B.Sc. Physics / Electronics / Computer science<br />

with minimum 2 nd class division in qualifying examination, OR Diploma in electronic / electrical /<br />

instrumentation, OR 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Maths with Diploma in Computer / EEG<br />

OR 2 years Institutional experience in EEG with 50% marks taken together in all subjects.<br />

Age: Candidates should have completed 20 years of age as on 31 st December of the admission year.<br />

Lateral Entry: Direct admission to second year for all undergraduate paramedical courses (except<br />

BASLP), subject to availability of seats. Candidates who have passed regular Two years Diploma course<br />

with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized institute are eligible. Eligibility for lateral<br />

entry into BASLP course, as per the norms of Rehabilitation Council of India.<br />

Admission Process<br />

Selection Criterion: Selection will be made as per the merit list prepared on the basis of marks secured<br />

in the qualifying examination.<br />

Procedure for submission of <strong>application</strong> <strong>form</strong> for admission<br />

All the particulars required in the <strong>application</strong> <strong>form</strong> need to be written carefully. If a candidate furnishes false<br />

<strong>in<strong>form</strong>ation</strong>, his/her admission will be cancelled at any stage and fees paid will not be refunded. The<br />

complete <strong>application</strong> <strong>form</strong> should be accompanied by the following documents:<br />

1. An attested true copy of Matriculation Certificate showing the date of birth (No other evidence of<br />

candidate’s date of birth will be accepted).<br />

2. An attested true copy of marks from the <strong>University</strong> Board or from the Principal / Head of the college /<br />

Institute from which the candidate has passed the qualifying 10+2 examination with the prescribed<br />

subjects (The year of passing this examination must be indicated).<br />

3. Recent passport size colored photograph of the candidate pasted on <strong>application</strong> <strong>form</strong> must be attested<br />

by the Principal of the school / Institution last attended or a Gazetted Officer.<br />

4. Two additional recent passport size photographs (same as pasted on <strong>application</strong> <strong>form</strong>).<br />

5. An attested true copy of character certificate from the Principal / Head of the college/ Institute last<br />

attended.<br />

6. Two medium size (9x4") self-addressed envelop with Rs. 5/- postage stamp affixed.<br />

7. In case of <strong>application</strong>s <strong>form</strong>s downloaded through the website, D.D. of Rs.350/- must be sent along<br />

with the <strong>form</strong><br />

It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that the required qualifications for admission to the chosen<br />

program are submitted. In case any lacuna is found after admission and enrollment is denied by the<br />

affiliated <strong>University</strong>, the Institute shall not be responsible for any financial loss, direct or indirect on this<br />

account.<br />

All original documents shall be deposited with the Dean Office once admission is offered, which<br />

will be returned to candidate after completion of the course.<br />

Notes:<br />

1. Please do not send the original certificates along with the <strong>application</strong> <strong>form</strong>. Originals should<br />

be produced and submitted when called for. Failure to submit the originals will result in<br />

cancellation of admission.<br />

2. The Application Form, complete in all respects, should be sent in the closed envelope by<br />

Registered Post/Speed Post/Courier or Hand delivered, so as to reach the office of the Dy.<br />

Dean (Paramedical), <strong>HIHT</strong> <strong>University</strong> not later than 17:00 hours on the prescribed date.<br />

3. Incomplete <strong>application</strong> <strong>form</strong>s are liable to be rejected.<br />

4. The Institute does not take any responsibility for delay in receipt or loss of the <strong>application</strong> in<br />

transit.<br />

5. For future correspondence, please quote your <strong>application</strong> <strong>form</strong> number.<br />

Verification of certificate:<br />

Copies of the College/School certificates, which have been attached in the <strong>application</strong> <strong>form</strong>, will be<br />

verified with the originals at the time of admission.<br />

Medical Examination<br />

Selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination conducted by the medical board of<br />

the hospital. Candidates found unfit shall not be admitted to the Para-medical courses.<br />

Cancellation of Admission<br />

The admission of students who have paid admission fees, but fail to join the course within the time<br />

limit specified, are likely to be cancelled. Fees and deposits paid shall be forfeited. If any student<br />

discontinues his/her studies in the subsequent years, or does not join the course by the stipulated<br />

date, he / she is liable to pay the tuition fee for the remaining year(s). The candidate may be asked<br />

to submit a bank guarantee by the <strong>University</strong>.<br />

Migration<br />

No <strong>application</strong> for migration to other Schools / College of Para-Medical will be entertained from<br />

students admitted to this Institute.<br />

Fee Structure for Paramedical Degree/PG/Diploma Courses<br />

Candidates will have to pay the Annual Examination fee as decided by the examination authorities at the<br />

time of each annual examination.<br />

Note :<br />

1. Fee once paid is not refundable.<br />

2. Fee to be charged is subject to revision and amendment from time to time.<br />

Definition<br />

BAN ON RAGGING<br />

Ragging means causing inducing compelling or forcing a student whether by way of a<br />

practical joke or otherwise to do any act which detracts from human dignity or violates<br />

his person or exposes him to ridicule or to forbear from doing any lawful act by<br />

intimidating, wrongfully restraining, wrongfully containing or injuring him or by using<br />

criminal force to him or by holding out to him any threat of such intimidation, wrongful<br />

restraint, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal force. Supreme Court of<br />

India has defined ragging as a criminal offence. -<br />

Penalty for ragging (Section, 116 of the Act)<br />

1. No person who is a student in an educational institution, including an<br />

institution under the management of the university or of the central<br />

government shall commit or abet ragging.<br />

2. Any person who indulges in or abets ragging shall on conviction be<br />

punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year.<br />

Ragging is a criminal and non-bailable offence.<br />

Warning<br />

No leniency will be shown to the offenders involved in ragging. All students are requested<br />

to note and co-operate in keeping our <strong>University</strong> and its constituent colleges free from<br />

ragging.<br />

Note: A written undertaking to this effect must be given on a non-judicial stamp paper<br />

of Rs.10/- by the student and his/her parents at the time of admission.<br />
