Welcome to our Grade 1 class
blogs for the 2014-2015 school
year. Our teachers use
WordPress, which is hosted by
TAS.
Student and teacher blogs can
be accessed from the KA-2
Lower School Technology Site,
which can be found on the TAS
website through following path:
TAS> Quick Links> Academic
Links> KA-2 Lower School
Technology> Class
According to Merriam-Webster
(2014), a blog is a website on which
someone writes about personal
opinions, activities and experiences.
The TAS class blogs are essentially
websites where classes add posts
about what they are learning.
Located on the right side of the
main class blog, you will see a bold
heading titled ‘Student Blogs’. It is
here that you will find your child’s
blog link. Clicking on your child’s
name will take you to his/her
student blog. Logging in is not
necessary to visit and leave
comments.
Blog. (n.d.). Retrieved August 24, 2014, from
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/blog
Blogs strengthen the
connection between school and
home. On the home page of
each class blog, teachers will
often include photos,
slideshows, videos and
academic links that support
and enrich student learning.
Your child’s teacher will post
up-to-date information
regarding what is happening
in the classroom.
Blogs provide students an ideal
opportunity to share their
thinking and learning with a
global audience. The teachers
and your children look
forward to sharing their blogs
this year and urge you to visit
them often!
