there’s nothing much to do with the past. Then came<br />
Fashion in 2008 which marked a significant turning<br />
point in her career. She later gained recognition for<br />
her versatility in portraying a range of unconventional<br />
characters, including a feisty Marathi woman in the<br />
2009 caper thriller Kaminey, a serial killer in the 2011<br />
movie 7 Khoon Maaf, an autistic woman in the 2012<br />
romantic comedy Barfi!, and a boxer in the 2014<br />
biographical sports drama Mary Kom. She has proved<br />
her acting skills and signed different movies making<br />
her touching all the genres available.<br />
She is currently shooting for Bajirao Mastani in the<br />
direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and this big budget<br />
entertainer also features Ranveer Singh and Deepika<br />
Padukone in the main leads. Her latest movie Dil<br />
Dhadakne Do in the direction of Zoya Akthar is getting<br />
ready for release in <strong>June</strong>. In addition, she will star as<br />
a police in Prakash Jha’s Gangaajal 2, a sequel to the<br />
2003 political thriller Gangaajal, and she will feature<br />
alongside Fawad Khan in Reema Kagti’s romance<br />
Mr Chaloo. Priyanka recently made her American<br />
television debut on ABC’s Quantico; Chopra became<br />
the first Indian to be cast as a lead role in American<br />

In addition to acting in films, she participates in stage<br />
shows, has hosted the third season of Fear Factor:<br />
Khatron Ke Khiladi, and has written columns for<br />
newspapers. She released her first single “In My City”<br />
in 2012. Her second single “Exotic” debuted in 2013,<br />
and charted in countries such as the United States<br />
and Canada. Chopra is noted for her philanthropic<br />
activities, and was appointed as a UNICEF Goodwill<br />
Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010. She promotes<br />
various causes such as environment, girls education,<br />
women empowerment and women’s rights, and is<br />
particularly vocal about women’s issues, including<br />
safety, and gender equality. Though she is reticent to<br />
discuss her personal life in public, her off-screen life is<br />
the subject of substantial media coverage in India.<br />
