which contributed to extraordinary business results including market
share increases that surpassed all forecasts. “It is an incredible honour
to be recognized by IABC/Toronto as all of the campaigns were unique
unto themselves and all achieved measurable objectives. Creativity
and innovation allows a campaign to be memorable not only from a
PR point of view, but from a success point of view,” says Judy Lewis,
co-founder and executive vice-president of Strategic Objectives.
In addition to well-established awards, new categories made their
debut in this year’s competition. “The Allstream Global Forum: An
Evening with Steve Forbes” won the inaugural Award of Excellence in
Communication Management in the Customer Relations category.
Designed to distinguish the company from its competitors, strengthen
customer relationships and create demand for business solutions, the
project demonstrated the strategic use of seminar selling in order to
generate outstanding sales results. “Our team is very honoured to be
recognized with this award as it demonstrates the in-house expertise
at Allstream to support our team and generate sales results,” says
Christine E. Gerritse, senior manager of Marketing Communications
at Allstream.
The programs designed by this year’s winners demonstrate the
remarkable passion, dedication and expertise that exemplify the
communications profession as one capable of measurable results and
prompting beneficial change. While the changing communications
landscape brings new challenges, it also creates opportunities for
strategic and innovative communication with stakeholders in a
competitive market. This year’s entries represent the wide scope of
capabilities from the area’s most notable communicators and attests
to the intense drive to deliver messages and be heard.
