Bond’s big boom<br />

Deceuninck NV, the parent of<br />

Deceuninck UK, has issued aretail<br />

bond to raise funds for working capital,<br />

capital expenditure, organic growth,<br />

growth by means of takeovers and<br />

repayment and further reduction of<br />

credit agreements.<br />

According to Deceuninck CEO Tom<br />

Debusschere itisaresounding success.<br />

He says: “We are delighted with the<br />

major interest and confidence of<br />

investors in Deceuninck. After just one<br />

day the issue was subscribed at 175%.”<br />

Roy Frost, Deceuninck MD for the<br />

UK, says: “Investors like what<br />

Deceuninck is doing. In the UK we’ve<br />

invested in innovative, pretty products<br />

that give customers the edge,incolour,<br />

quality, service and support for<br />

customers to help them build their<br />

business.”<br />

Menwhile the company has anounced<br />

arcord performance for September and<br />

October.<br />

Deceuninck’s customers’ September<br />

sales were the best since 2005 despite a<br />

softer than expected UK window<br />

market and Deceuninck has declared its<br />

best October since 2005.<br />

Singling out Deceuninck UK as one of<br />

the top performers in Deceuninck plc’s<br />

first half 2015 report, the group<br />

attributed the UK’s strong performance<br />

to investment in new products.<br />

Deceuninck UK’s latest product, the<br />

new sliding patio Slider24, achieves<br />

ClassA4 air permeability with arating of<br />

600Pa, Class E8A water permeability<br />

with arating of 450Pa and ClassA3 wind<br />

resistance with a rating of 1200Pa. It<br />

achievesPAS24 security and an A+ door<br />

set energy rating, and deceuninck keeps<br />

26 colourways in stock with all matching<br />

trims, cills and ancillaries. ❐<br />

achievers in the<br />

G15 awards and<br />

gala dinner on<br />

November 27,<br />

everyone agreed<br />

it was one of the<br />

best years yet.<br />

An audience of<br />

more than 600 applauded the winners for anarray of products and<br />

initiatives.<br />

OrganiserTony Higgin says:“It was the best year to date for so<br />

many reasons. Every single winner showed what amilestone 2015<br />

really has been for the industry –and the buzz in the hall<br />

throughout the event left no doubt that everyone agreed.”<br />

Among those with most the celebrate were two double winners –<br />

Saint-Gobain Glass UK taking home the trophy for glass company<br />

of the year as well as the Derek BonnardAward for excellence<br />

marking Saint-Gobain’s 350th anniversary, andThermoseal Group<br />

winning both for training and development and component<br />

supplier of the year. ❐<br />

PVC-U there!<br />

More than a dozen PVC-U and<br />

aluminium systems producers are<br />

showing at The FIT Show when it<br />

opens on April 12th, 13th and 14th<br />

next year,the biggest gathering of such<br />

companies for adecade.<br />

With many of the industry’s<br />

established stalwarts exhibiting there<br />

are also one or two newer names<br />

joining the throng and all are claiming<br />

something new on offer, including<br />

brand new systems. However, all are<br />

keeping their big items under wraps for<br />

the time being.<br />

FIT Show managing director Paul<br />

Godwin says: “This is the most<br />

impressive gathering of such companies<br />

for probably 10years.There has been a<br />

significant rationalisation of the systems<br />

companies since the ‘80s and ‘90s but<br />

the dozen plus systems companies<br />

exhibiting at next year’s FIT Show isthe<br />

best turnout for adecade<br />

“That these companies are investing<br />

millions of pounds in design,<br />

development, new machinery and<br />

tooling at this time is great news for all<br />

of us. It shows great faith in the futureof<br />

the industry.<br />

“Many of these companies are<br />

showing brand new systems so<br />

fabricators and installers looking at<br />

additional or alternative systems can<br />

use the opportunity to compare most<br />

of the major brands, under the same<br />

roof.”<br />

Companies exhibiting so far include:<br />

Ikon; Liniar; Profile 22; Rehau; Selecta;<br />
