Home to an amazing combination of natural,
cultural and agricultural features including
1,700 species of plants and animals, over
10,000 years of human history, and some of
the rarest and best remaining wetlands,
forests and agricultural lands in the Greater
Toronto Area. Once fully established, Rouge
National Urban Park will be 79.1 km 2 in size,
making it one of the largest and best
protected urban parks of its kind in the world.
SCARBOROUGH BLUFFS
A great place to come to when you are looking for a
quiet secluded area along the waterfront of east
Toronto. At Bluffers Park, there is a beach, walking
trails, BBQ area, restaurants, view of the impressive
Bluffs and access to the trail systems.
The Scarborough Bluffs stretch for about 14km along
the Lake Ontario shore, from the Eastern Beaches of
Toronto in the west, to West Hill in the east. At their
highest at Cliffside, the bluffs rise 65m above the
water. The Bluffs have been formed primarily by
erosion of the packed clay soil. There are various trail
systems from the top of the bluffs and waterside.

BRUCE PENINSULA NATIONAL PARK
This is Ontario’s most amazing hiking and
backpacking trail extending almost 800km in
length. The trail starts in the south near the
falls at Niagara and heads north to the Bruce
Peninsula, terminating in the beautiful little
town of Tobermory. There are dozens of
campsites on route and a wide variety of
access points allowing you to customize your
trip to match your fitness level or time
schedule.

Algonquin Provincial Park is located between
Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River and is about 7,
653 square kilometers. The essence of Algonquin is in
its vast interior of maple hills, rocky ridges, and
thousands of lakes. From Highway #60, you can enjoy
camping at one of eight campgrounds, hike one of 14
trails, take part in extensive Natural Heritage
Education programs, and visit Algonquin’s exceptional
Visitor Centre, Logging Museum and Art Centre.
There is excellent fishing, amazing moose viewing
opportunities, canoe routes, wildlife and plantlife,
biking trails, cliffs and so much to explore.
