Home to an amazing combination of natural,<br />

1,700 species of plants and animals, over<br />
10,000 years of human history, and some of<br />
the rarest and best remaining wetlands,<br />
forests and agricultural lands in the Greater<br />
Toronto Area. Once fully established, Rouge<br />
National Urban Park will be 79.1 km 2 in size,<br />
making it one of the largest and best<br />
protected urban parks of its kind in the world.<br />
SCARBOROUGH BLUFFS<br />
A great place to come to when you are looking for a<br />
quiet secluded area along the waterfront of east<br />
Toronto. At Bluffers Park, there is a beach, walking<br />
trails, BBQ area, restaurants, view of the impressive<br />
Bluffs and access to the trail systems.<br />
The Scarborough Bluffs stretch for about 14km along<br />
the Lake Ontario shore, from the Eastern Beaches of<br />
Toronto in the west, to West Hill in the east. At their<br />
highest at Cliffside, the bluffs rise 65m above the<br />
water. The Bluffs have been formed primarily by<br />
erosion of the packed clay soil. There are various trail<br />
systems from the top of the bluffs and waterside.<br />

BRUCE PENINSULA NATIONAL PARK<br />
This is Ontario’s most amazing hiking and<br />
backpacking trail extending almost 800km in<br />
length. The trail starts in the south near the<br />
falls at Niagara and heads north to the Bruce<br />
Peninsula, terminating in the beautiful little<br />
town of Tobermory. There are dozens of<br />
campsites on route and a wide variety of<br />
access points allowing you to customize your<br />
trip to match your fitness level or time<br />
schedule.<br />

Algonquin Provincial Park is located between<br />
Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River and is about 7,<br />
653 square kilometers. The essence of Algonquin is in<br />
its vast interior of maple hills, rocky ridges, and<br />
thousands of lakes. From Highway #60, you can enjoy<br />
camping at one of eight campgrounds, hike one of 14<br />
trails, take part in extensive Natural Heritage<br />
Education programs, and visit Algonquin’s exceptional<br />
Visitor Centre, Logging Museum and Art Centre.<br />
There is excellent fishing, amazing moose viewing<br />
opportunities, canoe routes, wildlife and plantlife,<br />
