SCHEMCON 2016 BVRIT Narsapur
B.V.Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT) Narsapur, Medak takes the
pride in organizing the 12th edition of the prestigious National level
Annual Students Chemical Engineering Congress (SCHEMCON 2016)
on 10th and 11th of September 2016 in collaboration with Indian
Institute of Chemical Engineering, Hyderabad Regional Centre (HRC)
and the colleges under IIChE Hyderabad Chapter.
The theme of this conference “Chemical Engineering Cutting edges
–Towards brighter Prospects” provided a scope to the student
community to focus on the developments and advancements in the
field of Chemical Engineering. The theme was more relevant as this
region of Hyderabad is a hub of Pharmaceutical and Chemical
Industries. This two day event witnessed students from different
college/universities all over the country participate in different
technical events like paper presentations, poster presentations, project
expo and the technical quiz. Around 1000 student delegates from
across the country participated for the two day conference.
The inaugural session of the conference was chaired by Dr. Ch.
Venkateswarlu, Principal, BVRIT with a welcome note. The patron of the
event Sri K.V Vishnu Raju, Chairman Sri Vishnu educational society
(SVES) inspired the gathering with a motivating quote “Chemical
engineers never die they start reacting”. He said “this conference
provides an excellent platform for all the budding Chemical Engineers
to showcase their technical and innovative skills". The guests of honour
for the event are Dr.T.Kishen Kumar Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Pandit
Deendayal Petroleum University and Sri Shyam Bang, President, IIChE
and the Chief Guest for the conference Sri.C.Krishna Prasad, Chairman
& M.D Granules India Ltd.
The conference was preceded by a keynote lecture by Dr.K.Krishnaiah,
Emeritus Professor, IITM. The guest lecture for the day is given by
Dr.S.Sridhar, Principal Scientist ,IICT.
The first day of the conference scheduled with technical sessions in 12
advanced fields of Chemical engineering followed by an exciting
cultural night “X-Tacy”.
The second day of the conference commenced with a Guest Lecture by
Prof V.V.Basava Rao ,OUCT, Hyderabad followed by technical and
poster sessions. The second invited talk for the day was given by Dr. Ch.
Venkateswarlu, Principal, BVRIT. Technical quiz was an extra event
during the conference.
The valedictory function was graced by Prof.G.D Yadav , Vice Chancellor,
ICT, Mumbai. The certificates of Merit were awarded to winners of all the
technical sessions.

A paper titled ”Evaluation of Antiulcer Activity of Polyherbal Formulation
Against Ethanol Induced Gastric Ulcer In Albino Rats” by
Ms.D.Santhosha, Assistant Professor of VIPER published in
“International Journal of Innovation Sciences and Research” in June-
2016
Dr. P Kiran Sree's (from CSE) of SVECW published a paper on “10
dimensional CA for eliminating aging and Diseases” in the IJCIR, on 10-
05-2016(PD).
Mr.S.Adinarayana, Associate Professor of SVECW presented a paper in an
International conference on "Processing of Materials, Minerals and
Energy: PMME-2016" organized by PACE Institute of Technology and
Sciences, Ongole on 29th – 30th July,2016.
