PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE is the trading name of <strong>PTB</strong> GROUP LIMITED, a specialised aviation business listed on the<br />

Australian Stock Exchange. PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE is a specialist engine workshop and sales facility located near<br />

the Brisbane Airport offering tailored solutions to its customers. It has a large inventory of turbine engines and turbine<br />

engine components with a dedicated and highly experienced team of engineers, sales, and technical representatives.<br />

Our purpose built facility is situated close to the largest Airport and Seaport in the State. PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE<br />

is located at the doorway to the South Pacific, Asia and Africa. <strong>PTB</strong> GROUP LTD is a company listed on the Australian<br />

Stock Exchange trading as PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE.<br />

The principal activities are:<br />

• Specialist repair and overhaul of PT6A and TPE331 turbine engines at its dedicated Brisbane facility;<br />

• Managing the repair and overhaul of engines at third party overhaul shops on behalf of its customers;<br />

• Trading in spare parts for engines and components;<br />

• Trading in parts (other than engines) for its customers;<br />

• Long-term engine management contracts for the above activities that provides our customers with a guaranteed<br />

efficient, expert, and timely service for all their engine and component needs. This also provides significant<br />

commercial benefits as our customer’s cashflow is matched to their operational activity, providing better working<br />

capital management and “peace of mind”;<br />

• Managing repair and overhaul and trading in non PT6A and TPE331 turbine engines and component parts; and<br />

• Short and long term aircraft, turbine engine, and turbine engine component rental, leasing, and finance.<br />

HISTORY<br />

The <strong>PTB</strong> GROUP was established in 2001, when it was incorporated to acquire the Brisbane assets of Pacific Turbine<br />

Pty Ltd ACN: 079 166 653. It focused on providing services in relation to the Pratt & Whitney PT6A and Honeywell<br />

TPE331 light turbine engines. It has evolved from a small specialist turbine repair facility based at Brisbane Airport,<br />

into a global aviation parts and services supply organisation with operations in QLD, NSW and The United States.<br />

The Company performed:<br />

• Specialist turbine engine repair and overhaul based at Brisbane, Australia;<br />

• Trading operations in Australia and internationally in aircraft turbine engines and related parts; and<br />

• The provision of finance for PT6A and TPE331 turbine engines for customers.<br />

The Group operates in a highly complex technical and regulatory environment requiring highly trained and qualified<br />

staff, systems, and processes.<br />

ABOUT PT USA<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE USA<br />

The Group has recently expanded its engine business into the United States which significantly increases our capacity<br />

and brings us closer to the North American market.<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE USA is a new aircraft engine business that commenced trading during the 2016 year.<br />

The business is based around a similar model to the PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE business but is focused on the North<br />

American market. This business has a strategic supply agreement with a business in the USA that supplies the engine<br />

repair and overhaul services required to support customers in North America.<br />

The development of this business is a key strategy for the Group as it has the potential to provide a significant boost to<br />

the Group’s overall capacity.<br />

Our purpose built 30,000 m2 facility has been fitted out to expertly manage engine overhauls, turbine engine component<br />

overhaul and repairs. We specialize in Pratt & Whitney PT6A & Honeywell TPE331 Engine’s, and have a dedicated work<br />

shop for each.<br />

CAPABILITIES<br />

Pratt & Whitney PT6A Series<br />

Our MRO workshop manages 10 + Hot Sections per month, many of which are on exchange basis; 70+ sets of exchange<br />

Fuel Nozzles per month and currently turns out between four and six overhauls/repairs per month on PT6A Series<br />

Engines. PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE own, lease and rent in excess of 50 PT6A Series Engines, provided for the<br />

support of our customer base.<br />

Honeywell TPE331 Series<br />

We have managed over 250,000 + engine hours of Honeywell TPE331 Series Turboprop Engines. Our workshop currently<br />

turns out approximately 35 TPE331 engine overhauls/repairs per annum.<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE own, lease and rent.<br />

<strong>PTB</strong>EMProgram<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE have managed one million + engine hours including float plane and short sector operations.<br />

This includes over 150 PT6A Series Engines on long term engine management programs throughout the Pacific, New<br />

Zealand, Indonesia, Republic of the Maldives and Australia through our <strong>PTB</strong>-EMProgram. PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE<br />

also currently manages 60 + Honeywell TPE331 Series Engines.<br />

The small PT6A engine is the cornerstone of the <strong>PTB</strong> engine business and will remain so into the future. Over time we<br />

expect to become a major player in this global market. Our PT6A engine overhaul shop is geared to produce engines<br />

for our contract customers.<br />

Currently PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE manages over 150 PT6A Series Engines on long term engine management<br />

What we offer in our <strong>PTB</strong>-EMProgram<br />

Management of all off wing engine maintenance<br />

If a repair or overhaul of an engine or components requires removal off wing to carry out the repair, the cost of that repair<br />

or overhaul discovered under the <strong>PTB</strong>-EMProgram.<br />

Scheduled engine overhauls<br />

All scheduled overhauls are provided either by exchange of operator’s time expired engine with a nil time since overhaul<br />

engine or overhaul of operator’s core. Exchange is preferred as it limits engine changes, freight costs and aircraft down<br />

time.<br />

Unscheduled engine repairs<br />

All unscheduled repairs are covered regardless of reason for failure, PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE has the responsibility<br />

of ensuring an engine is readily available to maintain operational requirements.<br />

You will avoid warranty discussions, rental engine costs and pay only per hour of engine in operation.<br />

Engine rotatives replacement<br />

Either at engine overhaul or engine repair will be the responsibility of PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE regardless of reason<br />

for removal.<br />

Dedicated spare engines onsite<br />

You can sell existing spare engines to PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE and retain use as dedicated spare resources. As part<br />

of <strong>PTB</strong>-EMProgram we can provide on site spare engines subject to negotiation.<br />

Off wing Hot Section replacement/repair<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE will provide exchange Hot Sections as preferred option limiting down time of your aircraft.<br />

On site spare Hot Sections can be provided as a part of <strong>PTB</strong>-EMProgram.<br />

Replacement/repair of;<br />

Fuel Control Unit, Fuel Pump, Prop Governor, start flow control valve & Ignition Exciter. PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE<br />

provide exchange units when required limiting down time to you. Final list of engine items covered under <strong>PTB</strong>-EMProgram<br />

varies and is as agreed by PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE and you.<br />

Overtemp, Over torque and insurable event cover, (excluding total loss) PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE can accept<br />

responsibility for above events subject to negotiation.<br />

All Fuel Nozzle clean & flow<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE provides exchange Fuel Nozzle sets from our pool of over 350 sets. You advise us of your<br />

requirements and we will ship exchange sets in advance. Exchange option limits aircraft down time. On site spare Fuel<br />

Nozzles can be provided as part of <strong>PTB</strong>-EMProgram, subject to negotiation.<br />

Onsite consignment of engine spare parts<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE provides an onsite pool of spare line replaceable units that are managed by our<br />

Programs delivery team. You then have the option of selling any currently owned units to us and have them stay on<br />

site. On site spare engines can form part of <strong>PTB</strong>-EMProgram subject to negotiation.<br />

Freight costs<br />

Freight to your location for all engines and components. You pay freight cost from your location to PACIFIC TURBINE<br />

BRISBANE.<br />

Dedicated contract management support team<br />

At your service.<br />

Regular visits by technical support staff<br />

You will gain unlimited access to remote technical support along with regular visits for hands on technical support.<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE can provide in house technical support to supplement operator training on site as<br />

part of regular visits. A Technical <strong>rev</strong>iew is carried out and technical reporting of any engine or component issues are<br />

provided back to you.<br />

Regular visits by commercial support staff<br />

PACIFIC TURBINE BRISBANE commercial support staff can provide aircraft disposal and procurement assistance.<br />

Assistance with local airworthiness authorities, operational advice and sourcing specialised personnel. Regular<br />

program <strong>rev</strong>iews are carried out as part of commercial visits.<br />

Total Flexibility<br />

When designing the <strong>PTB</strong>-EMProgram that is best suited to the needs of your business, we will work with you to<br />

choose which components you require and remove any that you do not need. We offer you the flexibility to build your<br />

General Aviation Maintenance (GAM) has had a professional relationship with Pacific Turbine<br />

Brisbane (<strong>PTB</strong>) for more than 6 years. Based on the high level of service and expertise, GAM<br />

entered into a ‘Power by the Hour’ agreement in 2010. Throughout this time <strong>PTB</strong> have<br />

provided exceptional support for our TPE 331 engines in our fleet of Dornier 228’s and Aero<br />
