2016 was another successful<br />

year for <strong>TIME</strong> and Versalift.<br />

a brief hiatus, and we are<br />

Throughout the last quarters of<br />

2016, our loyal exhibitors have<br />

been busy presenting Versalift<br />

platforms on various trade<br />

fairs (page 11) strengthening<br />

the position of Versalift as an<br />

important brand in the access<br />

industry.<br />

chassis and pickups such as<br />

the ETL series.<br />

Talleres Robles was founded<br />

in 1967 by José Luis Robles<br />

and is now run by his sons<br />

Juanjo and Diego Robles.<br />

The full hydraulic lower<br />

control panel is redesigned,<br />

significantly smaller and<br />

now located closer to the<br />

ground for easier ground<br />

level operation. The rear<br />

steps to the cage have<br />

likewise been redesigned<br />

while the overall weight and<br />

the leftover payload is left<br />

unaffected of the changes<br />

leaving plenty of weight for<br />

a cabinet on the flatbed,<br />

cargo and tools.<br />

Bauma 2016<br />

Looking back, Bauma 2016 was another success. The big product news displayed on the <strong>TIME</strong> stand were<br />

Euro 6 upgrades to the ETL and ETM series, LMC controls, new control panels and an upgraded VTX-240.<br />

The 2016 installment of<br />

Bauma was yet another<br />

success for <strong>TIME</strong> and<br />

Versalift.<br />

Strong lineup<br />

Euro 6 was the theme of<br />

the <strong>TIME</strong> Versalift stand as<br />

several Euro 6 upgraded ETL<br />

and ETMs were on display<br />

showcasing a new and safer<br />

design with emergency<br />

operation from ground<br />

level at the pedestal rather<br />

than the turret. Another<br />

new upgrade was the LMC<br />

control system providing<br />

additional outreach and<br />

new, standardized control<br />

panels making it easier for<br />

operators to switch between<br />

models.<br />

Legal driving with Versalift<br />

The unique 3.5 t Versalift<br />

VTX-240 with two telescopic<br />

booms was also optimized<br />

for Euro 6. On Bauma, a<br />

demo unit was displayed<br />

on a digital scale to show<br />

visitors that it still has<br />

sufficient leftover payload to<br />

remain in the 3.5 t GVW class<br />

despite the heavier engine<br />

of the Euro 6 Mercedes-<br />

Benz Sprinter chassis. The<br />

VTX was by far the biggest<br />

conversation topic on the<br />

stand, and the demo unit<br />

was always up in the air<br />

highlighting the unique<br />

possibilities provided by the<br />

two telescopic booms.<br />

component manufacturer<br />

handover was marked at<br />

this years Bauma in Munich.<br />

brings the total Versalift<br />

fleet of Swarco up to 27<br />

Bauma by the numbers<br />

Bauma 2016 saw a 9% rise in attendance as more than 580,000 visitors from 58<br />

countries visited the exhibition making it the largest ever installment.<br />

milk were consumed by<br />

visitors from more than 25<br />

different countries from<br />

all continents of the world<br />

60 on Monday 9 May.<br />

Per Torp is a veteran in the<br />

access industry with more<br />

than 30 years of experience<br />

managing the international<br />

Prior to his engagement<br />

in the access industry, Per<br />

Torp was involved in several<br />

different industrial business<br />

ventures including hydraulic<br />

waste shredders.<br />

Per Torp celebrated his<br />

birthday during a two-day<br />

reception for international<br />

and domestic business<br />

partners, friends and his<br />

family.

mounted on 3.5 t vehicles<br />

including 3 van mounted<br />

ETLs with working heights of<br />

11, 12.5 and 14 metres - all<br />

is an international trade<br />

fair for the electrical and<br />

electronics industry.<br />

Versalift UK presented a full<br />

lineup of access platforms,<br />

including several units from<br />

the new and improved ETL<br />

series for Euro 6, at the<br />

Vertikal Days exhibition.<br />

Attendance was solid<br />

despite the glooming skies<br />

that occupied the airspace,<br />

although the exhibition<br />

came to an early halt on<br />

the final day when England<br />

played Wales in the Euro<br />

2016 soccer tournament.<br />

This year’s <strong>edition</strong> marked<br />

the last time the exhibition<br />

was held at Haydock Park<br />

as the famed Silverstone<br />

formula 1 track will host<br />

next year’s installment.<br />

Brubakken AS, the<br />

Norwegian Versalift<br />

distributor, presented a<br />

Versalift ETM-38-145-F on a<br />

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van<br />

at Eliaden 2016. Eliaden is<br />

the largest Norwegian trade<br />

show for the power supply<br />

industry and hosted every<br />

second year in Lillestrom,<br />

Norway.<br />
