KASAULI
Kasauli is a cantonment and town, located
in Solan district in the Indian state of
Himachal Pradesh. The cantonment was established
by the British Raj in 1842 as a Colonial
hill station,[1] 77 km from Shimla, 65 km
from Chandigarh, and 94 km from Ambala
Cantt (Haryana), an important Railway Junction
of North India and lies at a height of
1,927 meters (6,322 ft.).
SHIMLA
Shimla is the capital of the northern Indian
state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan
foothills. Once the summer capital of
British India, it remains the terminus of the
narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed
in 1903. It’s also known for the
handicraft shops that line The Mall, a pedestrian
avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar,
a market specializing in wooden toys
and crafts.
