New York Times reporter Kim<br />
Barker, author of “Whiskey Tango<br />
Foxtrot” with Tina Fey, will<br />
speak at a Charity Luncheon at<br />
the Polo Club on <strong>March</strong> 24th .<br />
The Sixth Annual Event Will<br />
Benefit National Jewish Health,<br />
the Nation’s leading Respiratory<br />
Hospital.<br />
The luncheon includes a talk<br />
by Barker, silent auction, networking<br />
and luscious luncheon<br />
at the Polo Club. Barker joined<br />
The New York Times as the<br />
metro reporter, specializing in<br />
investigative reporting.<br />
Before joining The Times, she<br />
was the South Asia bureau chief<br />
for The Chicago Tribune, where<br />
she was based in New Delhi<br />
and Islamabad. Her book “The<br />
Taliban Shuffle,” a dark comedic<br />
take on her time in South Asia,<br />
was adapted into the movie<br />
“Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” starring<br />
Tina Fey.<br />
Barker has received awards<br />
including the front page award<br />
for journalist of the year, Newswomen’s<br />
Club of NY 2015 and is<br />
a lifetime member of the Council<br />
on Foreign Relations.<br />
Proceeds from the luncheon<br />
will benefit National Jewish<br />
Health, known for their innovative<br />
research and treatment<br />
of lung disease, heart disease<br />
and children’s diseases. For<br />
