THÜRINGEN GmbH
Seit 1872 ist Unterwellenborn traditionsreicher
Standort der Eisen- und Stahlproduktion
in Thüringen.
1992 erwarb die luxemburgische ARBED-
Gruppe Kernbereiche des Werkes und begann
umfangreiche Modernisierungen. Im
selben Jahr wurde die Stahlwerk Thüringen
GmbH als Betrieb gegründet.
Nach Abriss der veralteten metallurgischen
Vorstufen (Hochofen – Stahlwerk – Gießbetrieb
– Blockwalzstraße) wurde ein neues
Elektrostahlwerk für das Einschmelzen von
Stahlschrott errichtet, welches mit Stranggießanlage,
vorgelagertem Schrottplatz und
der Anbindung an das vorhandene moderne
Walzwerk 1995 in Betrieb ging.
Im Jahr 2002 beginnend wurden die Hauptaggregate
des Walzwerkes (Gerüstgruppen,
Richtmaschine, Stapelanlage, Sägen) systematisch
erneuert und weitere Stahl- und
Walzwerkseinrichtungen (Entstaubungsanlagen,
Walzwerksofen, Radioaktivitätsmess-
anlagen, Krananlagen, Spektrometer) modernisiert.
Damit ist die Stahlwerk Thüringen
GmbH einer der modernsten Profilstahlproduzenten
Europas.
Von Januar 2007 bis Januar 2012 gehörte
die Stahlwerk Thüringen GmbH zur
spanischen Gruppe Alfonso Gallardo. Der
Verkauf der Produkte erfolgte über die eigenständige
Verkaufsorganisation Gallardo
Sections S.L. .
Am 1. Februar 2012 wurde die Stahlwerk
Thüringen GmbH einschließlich der Verkaufsorganisation
von der brasilianischen
Gruppe CSN übernommen.

Since 1872 the site Unterwellenborn in Thuringia
has been a traditional iron and steel
production facility.
In 1992, the Luxembourgian ARBED group
acquired primary modules of the mill and
launched substantial modernisations. The
same year, Stahlwerk Thüringen GmbH was
founded as company.
After demolishing the obsolete, metallurgical
preliminary stage (blast furnace – steel
mill – casting shop – blooming mill) a new
electric steel plant for the melting of steel
scrap was built. The new electric arc furnace
with the continuous casting machine,
pre-situated scrap steel yard and the connection
to the already existing rolling mill
were put into operation in 1995.
Starting in 2002, relevant main units of the
rolling mill (stand groups, straightener, stackers,
saws) were systematically renewed
and further steel mill and rolling constructions
(dedusting units, pusher type furnace,
radioactivity measuring systems, cranes,
spectrometer) were modernized. As a result,
the Stahlwerk Thüringen GmbH is one of
the most modern European steel production
sites.
Between January 2007 and January 2012,
Stahlwerk Thüringen belonged to the Spanish
group Alfonso Gallardo. The independent
sales organisation Gallardo Sections.
S.L. assured the sales of our products.
On 1 February 2012, Stahlwerk Thüringen
GmbH and its sales organisation were taken
over by the Brazilian group CSN.

Depuis 1872, Unterwellenborn abrite traditionnellement
la production sidérurgique en
Thuringe.
En 1992, le groupe luxembourgeois ARBED
a racheté le principal secteur de l’usine et
commencé de vastes modernisations. La
même année, l’entreprise Stahlwerk Thüringen
GmbH voit le jour.
Après la démolition des anciens équipements
métallurgiques (hauts fourneaux – aciérie –
installation de coulée – laminoir des blocs)
une nouvelle aciérie électrique a été installée
pour la fusion des ferrailles. En 1995,
cette nouvelle aciérie électrique était mise
en service avec le parc à ferrailles situé devant,
une installation de coulée continue et
la connexion au laminoir.
A partir de 2002, les installations principales
du laminoir (groupes de cages, dresseuse,
empileuses, scies) ont été remplacées systématiquement
et d’autre constructions de
l’aciérie et le laminoir (systèmes de dépoussiérage,
four poussant, systèmes de mesure
de la radioactivité, grues, spectromètre)
étaient renouvelés. Ainsi, Stahlwerk Thüringen
GmbH est un des fabricants d’acier les
plus modernes en Europe.
Entre janvier 2007 et janvier 2012, Stahlwerk
Thüringen GmbH appartient au groupe
espagnol Alfonso Gallardo. L‘organisation de
vente indépendant Gallardo Sections S.L. a
assuré la vente de nos produits.
Le 1 février 2012, Stahlwerk Thüringen
GmbH et son organisation de vente ont été
acquéri par le groupe brésilien CSN.
