TopRotary limit switchProduct descriptionThe rotary limit switch is used to control the movement ofindustrial machinery. It operates as an auxiliary controller ofelectrical motors through a power interface, such as a contactoror PLC. Suitable for heavy duty, its shaft is connected to themotor and, after a set number of revolutions, the cams operatethe switches, thus starting the predetermined movement. A wormgear and a helical toothed gear combined with one or more pairsof straight toothed gears are used for the transmission of themovement from the input shaft to the output shaft.Revolution ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:9400 result from the useof different combinations of gear wheels between the input shaftand the output shaft, which is connected to the cams operatingthe switches.Transmission and gear driving shafts are made of stainless steelto prevent oxidation and wear. The auxiliary switches are of a positive openingtype, thus suitable for safety functions.The rotary limit switch can be fitted with potentiometers andencoders suitable for the connection to electronic equipment.Each output of the limit switch can be set with a differentrevolution ratio to allow for a diversified control of the machineryto meet special requirements.Materials and components are wear resistant (the offshoreversion is also saline fog resistant) and protect the equipmentagainst water and dust. The limit switch is available with a flangefor direct coupling to the motor, and it can be customized withlabels and colors.
