If it is determined that an Entrant is under the age of 18 the entire Team will be disqualified and will not be permitted to continue in the Tournament. • Team Captains who wish to participate in the Online Qualifiers must have a WorldGaming account and agree to the Terms and Conditions found at http://worldgaming.com/terms-and-conditions. There are no fees or service charges to create or maintain an account. The WorldGaming account creation form is age-gated to prevent anyone under the age of 18 from creating an account. If an Entrant attempts to bypass the age gate by entering a false date of birth that Entrant, and his/her Team, will be disqualified. • Each Team Member must have: a PlayStation ® 4 system; a PS4 copy of Call of Duty ® : Infinite Warfare (the “Game”); and an active PlayStation ® Plus paid membership in order to enter the Tournament. There is a cost associated with maintaining a PlayStation ® Plus account. Entrants should note that the Game will be played on a PlayStation ® 4 during the Regional Qualifiers and National Finals. • Employees, officers and directors of the Administrator, Cineplex Entertainment LP (“Cineplex”), Intertaintech Inc., WG Limited (Intertaintech Inc. and WG Limited are collectively referred to as “WorldGaming”) and any Tournament sponsors including but not limited to Sony Computer Entertainment Canada Inc. (“SCEC”) (collectively referred to as “Tournament Sponsors”) and their respective parents, affiliated and subsidiary entities and the immediate family (spouse, parent, sibling, child) or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers or directors are not eligible to participate in the Tournament. • As set out in Section 11 below, all Entrants that participate in the Regional Qualifiers and/or qualify for the National Finals will be required to sign a declaration and release confirming his or her understanding of, compliance with, and acceptance of the Tournament Rules with a standard release of all liability (the “Declaration”) before being permitted to participate. If the Entrant is a Minor, his/her parent/legal guardian must sign the Declaration on their behalf before being allowed to participate. If the parent or legal guardian does not consent to signing the Declaration, the Entrant will not be permitted to participate. • The Administrator shall have the right at any time to require proof, to its sole satisfaction, of identity, date of birth and/or residency to show eligibility to participate in the Tournament and to deny any Entrant or Team from playing or from being awarded any prize in the event that it is determined that one or more of the Entrants does not meet the eligibility criteria herein. • The Tournament is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial and local laws and regulations and is VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. 4. TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE STAGE ONE: OPEN QUALIFIERS Registration for the Open Qualifiers will begin on January 10, 2017. Eligible Teams may qualify for the Online Playoffs by entering the Online Qualifiers and/or the Regional Qualifiers as per below. ONLINE QUALIFIERS • How to Enter: o The Online Qualifiers will consist of ten (10) online tournaments open to up to 64 Teams each, to be held on: • Saturday January 28 at 1:00 PM EST • Sunday January 29 at 1:00 PM EST • Saturday February 4 at 1:00 PM EST • Sunday February 5 at 1:00 PM EST • Wednesday February 8 at 5:00 PM EST • Saturday February 11 at 1:00 PM EST • Sunday February 12 at 1:00 PM EST • Wednesday February 15 at 5:00 PM EST • Saturday February 18 at 1:00 PM EST • Sunday February 19 at 1:00 PM EST o A Team may participate in the Online Qualifiers by designating a Team Captain, having said Team Captain navigate to http://worldgaming.com/cineplex (the “Website”) during the Registration Period and click the “Register to Play Online” button, and then select their preferred date from the options presented. Available spots are assigned on a first come, first served basis. • The Team Captain will be required to login to their WorldGaming account prior to being able to register for the selected tournament.
o o During registration, the Team Captain must provide a Team Name and the PlayStation ® IDs (“PSN IDs”) for all remaining Team Members. Only Entrants whose PSN IDs match those registered by the Team Captain are eligible to play in the Tournament. Any Team playing at any stage of the Tournament, with a Team Member whose PSN ID does not match any of those registered by the Team Captain, will be disqualified and will not be eligible to continue in the Tournament, or if applicable, receive a prize. Each Entrant permits the Administrator to verify that his/her name is registered to the PSN ID used to enter the Tournament. In the event Administrator is unable to conclusively verify that the name of an Entrant matches the PSN ID used to enter the Tournament, that Entrant, and his/her Team, will be disqualified. A Team may enter into more than one (1) online Tournament, provided space is available. • How to Play: o The Online Qualifiers are open to all eligible Teams. Team seeding is generated sequentially based on time of entry. Teams will only be playing against other Teams that have registered for the same online tournament. All online tournaments will begin at the designated start time regardless of the number of registered Teams. If a tournament does not fill to maximum capacity by the designated start time it will still play out in full and all Teams up to that point will be able to compete. Any Team without an opponent in a tournament round will receive a “bye” to the next round, at the discretion of the Administrator. o Each online tournament entered into has a pre-determined start time which can be found by viewing the tournament under the “My Tournaments” tab of a Team Captain’s personal WorldGaming account. o All Matches are automatically generated on http://worldgaming.com/ on the day of the online tournament under the “Today’s Challenges” tab of a Team Captain’s personal WorldGaming account. The Team Captain must check-in to each of their Matches on the WorldGaming website at the scheduled start time. Teams must then play their opponent over the PlayStation ® Network using their owned copies of the Game, with each Team Captain reporting the results on the WorldGaming website afterwards under the “Today’s Challenges” tab. o Match Hosting, Side Choice, and Disconnections: • The Team Captain of the Team that appears on top in the bracket, when viewed through the ‘My Tournaments’ tab on the WorldGaming website, is responsible for creating and hosting the first Game, and if necessary the third Game, and the Team Captain of the Team that appears on the bottom in the bracket must host the second Game, and if necessary the Tiebreaker Game. Team Captains must invite all of their Team Members, as well as the opposing Team Captain, for all Games. The opposing Team Captain is responsible for inviting all of their respective Team Members. • The Team that does not host must choose a side to play on (UNSA or SDF). • The hosting Team is responsible for ensuring that all maps, modes, and settings are correct. Any Game started with the wrong settings may result in a forfeit for the hosting Team. • A Game must be restarted if the Host or a Team Member disconnects in the first 30 seconds AND before the first kill. If a Team Member disconnects from a Game after the first 30 seconds or after the first kill, the Game must continue and the Team Member must rejoin the Game as soon as possible. If the Host disconnects from the Game or incorrectly ends the Game after the first 30 seconds or after the first kill, the hosting Team will forfeit the Game. • If either Team invites a Player/Spectator to a Game that is not a registered member of their Team they may forfeit that Game, at the discretion of the Administrator. • A 5 minute grace period between Games is permitted to allow the new Host to setup. o Teams are required to take appropriate in-game screenshots that display the final results of each Game, and should be prepared to provide them immediately at the request of the Administrator. Failing to do so, or providing false information, may result in immediate disqualification, at the discretion of the Administrator. o If neither Team Captain checks in to their Match and/or if a Match is not played and neither Team submits a Ticket requesting the forfeit win, both Teams will forfeit the Match and be eliminated from the online tournament. o Format for all online tournaments: • The format for all online tournaments will be single-elimination. Any Team that loses a Match will be eliminated from the online tournament. • All Matches will be Best of 3 Games.
