The new clinic is fully equipped to provide our clients with consistent, quality healthcare that can be relied upon. The clinic has a rehabilitation gym onsite, extra treatment rooms and a light bright feel to assist you with your recovery. The staff are also very pleased to finally have a staff room after five and half years of eating lunch in their rooms!! With a new clinic we also welcome some new faces to the Motus Lincoln team. In January we welcomed Chris Pettet to the physio team. Chris has come across from Sportsmed and before that spent two years working in London while he enjoyed his OE. Chris is passionate about exercise and using exercise as a powerful recovery tool. In February, Steph Foster joined the Motus Lincoln physio team. Steph recently graduated from Otago University. Steph is loving being a physio and using her new found knowledge to assist her patients with their recovery. Steph is working alongside our senior clinicians under our Graduate Education program. Chris and Steph join Brett, Kathryn, Mary and Jo making up our physio team. Motus Lincoln welcomed a new podiatrist to the team in January. Georgina Barr works onsite every Wednesday to assist with all your podiatry needs. Georgina spends the rest of her work working at Sportsmed in town. Anna Bradley from Form Massage and Pilates is enjoying the new premises and available for massage therapy appointments every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Anna also runs Pilates classes from the Lincoln Events Centre on Thursday evenings. It was a sad day on Friday 13th April as we said goodbye to the old clinic on the corner of Lyttleton and Gerald St. This site has been a physio clinic since 1989 under the guidance of Kathryn Claridge for much of this time. The team at Motus Lincoln are available to help you on your journey from injury to wellbeing and look forward to helping you to “live active”. > Motus Lincoln is located at Unit 7, 3 Vernon Drive, Lincoln. SELWYN TIMES Latest Christchurch news at www.star.kiwi Wednesday May 2 2018 21 SELWYN UNITED are still chasing their first win in the Mainland Premier League following two defeats in three days. On Anzac Day Selwyn were handed a 1-3 defeat by Coastal Spirit before another 1-3 loss to defending champions Ferrymead Bays on Saturday. The Stallions have just two draws to show from nine games in SPORTS AIR TIME: Selwyn United’s Troy Pennycuick rises high to win a header against Coastal Spirit. PHOTO: TANIA MCKAY Wins elude Selwyn Canterbury’s premier competition. However, after a string of away games against title contenders, Selwyn will return to Foster Park with possibly their best chance of securing an elusive MPL victory on Saturday. They host FC Twenty 11 who have three wins to their name, including a 3-1 win over Selwyn when the two sides met at the end of March. Final minute win elevates Prebbleton • By Gordon Findlater PREBBLETON have moved joint top of section B in the combined country division one rugby competition following a final minute penalty kick to defeat Ellesmere rivals Darfield for the first time in over a decade. Saturday’s 19-18 win over Darfield at Sheffield Domain provided plenty of late drama for onlookers. Holding a slim lead Prebbleton lost captain Steven Lees-Goodwin with 8min to play after he was yellow-carded for not rolling away after a tackle. Darfield made the most of the extra man advantage and scored to lead 18-16. However, Prebbleton were awarded a penalty with only moments left to play. With regular kicker Recce Martin already substituted, first-five George Wigley stepped up to slot the kick 40m directly in front of goal to give his side a 19-18 lead. Proud supporters of Rugby & Netball in Selwyn At this point many Prebbleton fans ran onto the field assuming time was up, but they were quickly ushered off and made to watch a nail biting final 40sec before the ball was kicked in to touch. The win was Prebbleton’s second in three days after a bonus point win over Rakaia on Anzac Day. The team also achieved both results without coach Derek Todd who is currently in Australia. “They did really well. I don’t know if they’ll want me back,” joked Todd. “That has been mentioned by the boys,” said assistant coach Tony Martin. Prebbleton’s only try of the match came midway through the first half when No. 8 Etu Sunia intercepted a pass in his own half before running 60m to score. Halfback Reece Martin added three penalties and one two-point conversion.
