gens konsekvenser for arbejdstageren.

Abstract

The project is a case-study of the working life of pedagogical temporary agency work-

ers (PTAWs), inspired by Action Research. The project explores how the PTAWs expe-

rience working under flexible conditions, and which potentials for change they can un-

fold with regards to their situation. The theoretical frame of the project is post-fordist

theory, and is critical with regards to the consequences of flexibility for the worker. It is

concluded that the working life of a PTAW is marked by ambivalence regarding flexi-

bility and a care-oriented professional competency. Likewise their working life is

marked by considerable individualization. The potentials for change are unfolded in

themes like recognition, professional competence, more flexibility and collectivity.
