In this way, graduates of the
program develop a complete
understanding of the
challenges in this sector.
Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics (The Blue MBA)
The program takes students
to a top international level
in business administration,
refl ecting the needs of the
industry in a world where
globalization, enhanced
competition, market
understanding, strategic
planning, and the speed of
technological change place
ever-increasing demands
on executive management
skills.
Four governing themes are
evident through-out the
program: leadership challenges,
globalization of the
world economy, implications
of information and
communication technology
development and changes
in logistics requirements.
The fi nal integrating strategy
project serves two
purposes: for the candi-
date, the aim is to integrate
all topics covered in
the program by using real
world data on a problem
related to the candidate’s
own company. For the candidate’s
company, the aim
is to have a strategic issue
thoroughly analyzed, with
proposed solutions and
implementation plans. The
last six months of the study
is devoted to this project.
This is a modular program
with eight modules each
one week, spread over 22
months on a regular basis
and supported by a virtual
platform, where assignments
and group discussions
enhance the learning
process. Each module gives
a thorough introduction
to reading material and
motivates students for
their independent studies.
