1 KURZBESCHREIBUNG
Die DC-Motorregelung ist für den Einsatz in analogen Lokomotiven gedacht. Sie verzögert die
Anfahrspannung auf ca. 6,5V. Damit kann das Licht einer Lokomotive im Stand leuchten oder auch ein
Geräuschmodul läuft noch beim Stillstand der Lok.
1.1 LIEFERUMFANG
Im Lieferumfang der DC Motorregelung sind die folgend aufgelisteten Komponenten enthalten:
- DC Motorregelung
- 2 Schrauben
- Handbuch (in deutscher und englischer Sprache)
Sollte eine dieser Positionen im Lieferumfang nicht enthalten oder beschädigt sein, so informieren Sie
bitte Ihren Fachhändler oder wenden Sie sich direkt an den Hersteller.
2 ANSCHLUSS UND INBETRIEBNAHME
• Bauen sie das Modul an einem geschützten Platz ein. Schützen sie es vor Feuchtigkeit sowie extremen
Temperaturschwankungen.
• Das Modul darf nur an die in der Anleitung genannte Geräte angeschlossen werden. Ein Anschluss an
andere Geräte, auch wenn der Stecker dort passt, kann zur Zerstörung führen.
• Dieses Modul ist kein Spielzeug !
2.1 ANSCHLÜSSE
2.1.1 MECHANISCHE BEFESTIGUNG
Die DC-Motorregelung muss unbedingt gekühlt werden. Das heißt die 2 Transistoren müssen mit den
beiliegenden Schrauben entweder an ein Kühlblech (z.B. 1,5 mm Alu mit mindestens 25 cm² Fläche)
oder an ein Bleigewicht geschraubt werden.
Sollte eine weitere Elektronik ebenfalls zur Kühlung festgeschraubt sein, muss die Motorregelung
isoliert befestigt werden. Sie darf dann keine elektrische Verbindung zu der restlichen Elektronik
haben.
2.1.2 ANSCHLUSS ÜBER DCC-SCHNITTSTELLE
Der Anschluss erfolgt bei Loks mit DCC-Schnittstelle sehr einfach über den angelöteten Stecker.
Einfach den Blindstecker abziehen und statt dessen die Regelung aufstecken.
2.1.3 ANSCHLUSS OHNE DCC-SCHNITTSTELLE
Bei Loks ohne Schnittstelle werden die 3 Kabel direkt an das Getriebe angeschlossen.
Bei Lokomotiven mit 4 Kabeln muss zusätzlich noch ein Verbindung von Weiß nach Gelb erfolgen.
Wenn in der Lok weitere Elektronik vorhanden ist, wird diese einfach zusätzlich an das Braune + Weiße
Kabel angeschlossen. Eventuell vorhandene Motorkabel (Grün + Gelb) müssen am Getriebe entfernt
werden. (Abb.1)

3 BETRIEB
Eine Lok ohne Regelung fährt meistens bei ca. 2-3V Trafospannung los. Durch den Einbau der Regelung
fährt die Lok erst bei ca. 6,5V an. Die Regelung verbraucht beim Anfahren einfach die zusätzlichen 4V.
Bei schnellerer Fahrt schaltet sich die Regelung automatisch wieder ab, so dass die Lok weiterhin
nahezu ihre Höchstgeschwindigkeit erreicht.
4 TECHNISCHE DATEN
• Maximale Betriebsspannung : 27V = (DC)
• Maximale Strombelastbarkeit : 3A
• Regelspannung : ca. 4V Differenz zwischen Gleis + Motor beim Anfahren
5 WICHTIGE HINWEISE
Die DC-Motorregelung ist nur für den Innenraumeinsatz geeignet. Vermeiden Sie jede Druck- oder
Stoßbelastungen des Gerätes. Die Kabel dürfen niemals kurzgeschlossen werden. Vermeiden Sie die
Kabel zu Brücken und verhindern Sie das Quetschen der Kabel.
5.1 FEUCHTIGKEIT
Die DC-Motorregelung darf nur in trockener Umgebung eingesetzt werden. Es ist vor Nässe und Feuchtigkeit
zu schützen. Feuchtigkeit kann die Funktionalität erheblich einschränken bzw. das Gerät zerstören.
5.2 GARANTIE UND GEWÄHRLEISTUNGSANSPRUCH
Massoth gewährt die Fehlerfreiheit dieses Produkts für ein Jahr. Der Gewährleistungsanspruch richtet
sich nach den gesetzlichen Vorgaben. Verschleißteile sind von der Garantieleistung ausgeschlossen, da
diese Teile einer natürlichen Abnutzung durch Gebrauch des Gegenstandes unterliegen. Der Anspruch
auf Serviceleistungen durch den Hersteller erlischt durch eine zweckentfremdete Nutzung sofort und unwiderruflich.

5.3 HERSTELLERHINWEISE
Dieses Produkt ist kein Spielzeug. Das Produkt kann funktions- und fertigungsbedingt scharfe Kanten sowie
Kleinteile enthalten. Durch den funktionsbedingten Aufbau besteht unter Umständen Gefahr des
Quetschens oder Klemmens. Bei Kleinteilen besteht die Gefahr des Verschluckens. Halten Sie es bitte
von Kindern sowie nicht geschulten Personen fern.

1 BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The DC-Motor control is meant for the employment in analog locomotives. It retards the starting voltage
on approx. 6,5V. Thus the light of a locomotive can shine or a sound module is working while the loco is
standstill.

2 HOOK UP AND OPERATION
• Install the module in a place that protects it from moisture and extreme temperatures.
• The module must only be connected to components that are described in this manual. Connecting this
unit to other components even if the plugs are matching may result in serious damage to the module or
other components.
• This module is not a toy!
2.1 CONNECTORS
2.1.1 MECHANICAL FIXING
The DC-Motor control must be absolutely cooled. That means the 2 transistors have to be fixed with the
screws on a cooling plate (e.g. 1,5 mm Alu with a minimum of 25 cm² area) or a lead weight.
If another electronic is fixed on the same cooling plate, the DC-Motor control must be fixed isolated.
It must have no electrical connection to remaining electronics.
2.1.1 CONNECT OVER DCC-CONNECTOR
The connection on locos with DCC-Connector is easy over the soldered plug.
Plug off the dummy-plug and mount the DCC connector.
2.1.2 CONNECT WITHOUT DCC-CONNECTOR
On locomotives without DCC-Connector the 3 cables will be plugged directly on the gear.
On locomotives with 4 cables connection must additionally still take a connection from white to yellow.
If another electronic is present in the locomotive the brown and white cable must be connected with it.
Possible available motor cables (green + yellow) have to be removed from the gear. (Illustr.1)

3 OPERATING
A locomotive without control starts on appr. 2-3V transformer voltage. With DC-Motor control the
locomotive will start at appr. 6,5V. The control used on start up the additional 4V.
On faster drive the control will turn off automatically and the locomotive can reach his maximum speed.
4 Technical Data
• Maximum Voltage : 27V = (DC)
• Maximum Draw : 3A
• Control voltage : appr. 4V difference between track + motor on start up
5 IMPORTANT NOTICE
The DC-Motor control is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose to shock or pressure. Avoid
smashing or squeezing the cables.
5.1 MOISTURE / HUMIDITY
The DC-Motor control is not waterproof. This is the reason why this module must only be operated in a
dry environment. Protect the module from moisture, humidity, and water. Moisture / humidity may
limit the functionality significantly or may destroy the unit.
5.2 Warranty
Massoth Electronics USA warrants this product for 1 year from the date of purchase. This product is warranted
against defects in materials and workmanship. Peripheral component damage is not covered by
this warranty. Normal wear and tear, consumer modifications as well as improper use or installation are
not covered. Errors and changes excepted.
5.3 Warranty Claims
Valid warranty claims will be serviced without charge within the warranty period. To initiate a warranty
claim please contact your dealer or Massoth Electronics USA for an RMA (return merchandise authorization).
Massoth Electronics USA cannot be responsible for return shipping charges to our repair facility.
Please include your proof of purchase with the returned goods.

5.4 General and Safety Details
