EFP gibt die SHOOTING STARS 2011 bekannt
Präsentation der interessantesten Schauspieltalente Europas auf der Berlinale 2011
(10.-20. Februar)
Zehn europäische Schauspieler, die derzeit zu den spannendsten Entdeckungen im
internationalen Filmgeschäft gehören, werden vom 12.-14. Februar auf der Berlinale als
SHOOTING STARS 2011 präsentiert. 25 EFP-Mitgliedsorganisationen aus ganz Europa hatten
ihre Kandidaten einer international besetzen Jury vorgeschlagen. Entscheidendes Kriterium bei der
Wahl der Schauspieler war deren künstlerische Leistung in Spielfilmen. European Film Promotions
(EFP) Veranstaltung SHOOTING STARS wird finanziell vom MEDIA Programm der Europäischen
Union unterstützt.

EFP organisiert am ersten Berlinale-Wochenende verschiedene Veranstaltungen mit dem Ziel, die
ausgewählten Schauspieler in ihrer internationalen Karriere zu unterstützen. Der Höhepunkt des
dreitägigen Events ist die Verleihung der SHOOTING STARS AWARDS auf der großen Bühne des
Berlinale Palastes, unterstützt von Studio Babelsberg.
SHOOTING STARS sind Botschafter des europäischen Films. Nach ihrem Auftritt in Berlin werden
sie weltweit von EFP präsentiert und in die Promotion ihrer Filme eingebunden. Zu den
SHOOTING STARS der vergangenen Jahre gehören die beeindruckenden Talente Carey
Mulligan, David Kross, Mélanie Laurent, Daniel Brühl, Nikolaj Lie Kaas und die für den
Europäischen Filmpreis 2010 nominierten Schauspieler Zrinka Cvitešic, Lotte Verbeek, Elio
Germano und Jakob Cedergren.

Im Namen der Jury kommentiert der französische Produzent Cédomir Kolar die Wahl der zehn
SHOOTING STARS 2011:
“Die Tatsache, dass so viele Kandidaten vorgeschlagen wurden, ist ein deutliches Zeichen dafür,
wie beliebt diese Initiative heute ist – in der Branche und auch allgemein in den Medien. Für
kleinere Länder, die EFP erst kürzlich beigetreten sind, ist das Programm sogar noch wichtiger,
weil hier die Teilnahme an SHOOTING STARS wie eine Art professioneller Reisepass für die
Arbeit außerhalb des eigenen Landes funktionieren kann.”
Weitere Mitglieder der Jury sind: Derek Elley, (Filmkritiker - Großbritannien), Ole Christian
Madsen (Regisseur – Dänemark), Heike Makatsch (Schauspielerin – Deutschland) und Lina
