Activities 2006 - European Academy of Sciences and Arts

EUROPEAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES & ART
CEEN has previously issued a Declaration on EIT 4
. It supported the establishment of an EIT
and stressed the need for adequate funds and a flexible structure to attract world-class
scientists.
At it’s meeting on 27 November 2006 in Prague, CEEN discussed the Commission’s proposal
to establish an EIT 5
. Prof. J. Buzek, MEP (Rapporteur for FP7, former Polish Prime
Minister) and Commission officials participated at the meeting.
Following the discussions in Prague, CEEN issued the above Declaration. The CEEN
members were from the: European Academy of Sciences and Arts, Academy of Sciences
and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Croatian Academy
of Sciences and Arts, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Hungarian Academy
of Sciences, Latvian Academy of Sciences, Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts,
Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, Polish Academy of Sciences, Romanian
Academy, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Slovak Academy of Sciences,
Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and World Academy of Art.
