The Meissen manufactory has a long tradition of pen-and-ink drawing. Ever since 1830, lettering
and dedications have been applied to the royal porcelain using pen. In the latter part of the 19th
century, as part of the renaissance of “Indian painting” – flowers, plants and animal imagery painted
in the Japanese Kakiemon style – and the schematisation of patterns, pen-and-ink drawing experienced
a revival at the manufactory. The famous MEISSEN ® Indian decors are still designed by pen
today. Building on this tradition, we have now created a limited edition range of exclusive writing
accessories made from fine MEISSEN PORCELAIN ® and high-quality materials. Royal elegance

Write history. The historical inspiration for the subtle diamond décor was the detailed
floor mosaics in Meissen’s Albrechtsburg – one of the first castles to be constructed
in Germany and the home of the Meissen manufactory until the mid-
19 th century. The gold ornamentation on the MEISSEN ® Mascara in Geometric
Gold has been applied in polished gold and subsequently polished by hand. A

To take an element “from the Electoral Saxon Coat of Arms, such as the Electoral
Swords” is what Johann Melchior Steinbrück, the first inspector of the Meissen

Die Malerei mit der Feder hat in der Manufaktur Meissen Tradition. Seit 1830 wurden Schriftzüge und Widmungen mit der Feder auf das königliche Porzellan aufgebracht.
Im ausgehenden 19. Jahrhundert, im Zuge der Renaissance der Indischmalerei – Blumen-, Pflanzen- und Tiermalerei im japanischen Kakiemon-Stil – und der Schematisierung
ihrer Muster, erlebte die Zeichnung mit der Feder in der Manufaktur eine wahre Blütezeit. Bis heute werden die berühmten Indischdekore von MEISSEN ® mit der Feder
gestaltet. Aufbauend auf dieser Tradition haben wir jetzt eine Edition exklusiver Schreibaccessoires aus feinem Meissener Porzellan ® und edlen Materialien kreiert.
