„Konnopke’s Imbiß“ unter der U-Bahn-Trasse Eberswalder Straße
ist eine Berliner Institution. Bereits seit 1930 existiert die berühmte
Currywurst-Bude in Prenzlauer Berg. Und wie eine Trutzburg
widerstand sie jahrzehntelang dem Wandel, bis sie 2010 U-Bahnarbeiten
weichen musste. Ein provisorischer Imbiss wurde vis-à-vis
dem alten Standort aufgebaut. Jetzt ist „Konnopke’s“ an alter
Stelle wieder da. Und das ganz in Gold! Die optisch an die 60er-
Jahre angelehnte Bude samt Verzehrpavillon erinnert einen schon
von Weitem daran, dass es hier die beste Currywurst der Stadt gibt
– von der New York Times gepriesen und von Altkanzler Gerhard
Schröder verkostet. Dazu gibt es – na klar – „güldene“ Pommes.
// This currywurst stand has been around since 1930 and valiantly
fought off any change until 2010, when it had to make way for
renovation work on the U-Bahn above. After erecting a temporary
stand across from the old location, "Konnopke’s" is now back at its
original site with a golden 1960s look and an eating pavilion. Even
the New York Times and former chancellor Gerhard Schröder know
that this is the home of the best currywurst in the city – and don’t
forget to try their “golden” chips too.

Wein wird auch in Berlin angebaut. Der bekannteste Weinberg der Stadt liegt am Kreuzberg,
aber auch in Wilmersdorf, Schöneberg, Mitte, Neukölln und Marzahn gibt es Reben.
Im Weddinger Humboldthain wird sogar Sekt gekeltert. // Wine is also made in Berlin. The most

Facebook-Seite der Hauptstadt – und wird damit nur
noch von New York getoppt „Freunden“. Doch das

pro Tag. Kein Wunder, denn auf der Seite wird den Fans
