Globale Anbaugebiete der Ölpflanze Jatropha curcas (Ausschnitt): Das Bauhaus Luftfahrt hat ein wissenschaftliches
Energiepflanzen-Kompendium zusammengestellt, aus dem für insgesamt 25 global relevante Pflanzen
hochaufgelöste Ertragskartierungen (obere Grafik) erstellt werden können. Diese werden digital mit den in
den vergangenen Jahren am Bauhaus Luftfahrt ermittelten verfügbaren landwirtschaftlichen Flächen auf der
Erde abgeglichen. Das Resultat stellt eine Aussage darüber dar, welcher Pflanzenertrag auf einer bestimmten
potenziell verfügbaren Oberfläche erzielt werden könnte (untere Grafik).
Global production areas of the oil-bearing plant Jatropha curcas (map extract): Bauhaus Luftfahrt has
compiled a scientific compendium of energy plants from which high-resolution productivity maps (top image)
can be derived for 25 globally relevant energy crops. The productivity maps are digitally matched with the available
agricultural land on Earth, which Bauhaus Luftfahrt has already identified in recent years. The outcome
represents detailed information regarding the crop productivity that could be yielded on a certain potentially
available surface (bottom image).
