Gold-Speedmaster zu Ehren der Leistungen der amerikanischen
Astronauten 1969
Diese besondere Ausführung der “Omega”-Speedmaster Professional ist
ursprünglich mit einer bordeauxfarbenen Lunette ausgezeichnet. Serienmodelle
first Watch worn on the moon”. Zur Erinnerung an dieses Ereignis wurden
1969 28 nummerierte Exemplare hergestellt. Sie trugen die Widmung: “To
mark man’s conquest of space with time, on time”. Durch den Erfolg dieser
Uhr wurden von 1969-1972 insgesamt 1014 Exemplare produziert.
Gold Speedmaster in honour of the achievements of the American
astronauts in 1969
This special edition of the Omega Speedmaster Professional features
normally a burgundy coloured bezel. Examples in steel were used by the
American astronauts during the Apollo XI mission to the moon – this
makes it the first and only watch ever worn on the moon. The back is
engraved with “Omega Speedmaster - Apollo XI 1969 - The first watch
worn on the moon”; 28 numbered watches were produced in 1969 to
commemorate the mission. They all carried the dedication “To mark man’s
conquest of space with time, on time”. Due to the success of the model, a
total of 1014 watches was produced between 1969 and 1972.
