geschieht auf Basis von Messungen und Modellen. In
der Industrie werden die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse
in Form eines Software Sensors implementiert, der
den Herstellungsprozess hinsichtlich Kantenabfall
und Breitung begleitet. Das BFI hat in diesem Zusammenhang
ein optisches Messverfahren entwickelt,
welches das Bandkantenprofil über die Bandlänge
traversierend erfasst und an unterschiedlichen
Orten im Walzwerk temporär installiert wird. Diese
Messungen bilden die Grundlage für das Verständnis
der Vorgänge im Bandkantenbereich von Bändern
während des Walzprozesses. Die Kombination von
dreidimensionalen Modellen und numerischen
Simulationen dienen dazu, die Breitung und das
Profil der Bänder zu analysieren. Die Messungen
helfen die Modelle zu validieren. Verschiedene Aktuatoren
zur Beeinflussung des Kantenabfalls werden
im Rahmen dieses Projektes untersucht und nach
der Reihenfolge ihrer Bedeutung klassifiziert. Die
Entwicklung von intelligenten Soft-Sensoren für
die Vorhersage und Abschätzung des Kantenabfalls
ist dabei ein zentrales Instrument, um Bandkantenprofile
zu verbessern.
Gegenwärtig unterstützt das Messsystem erfolgreich
die Erfassung qualitätsrelevanter Banddaten
in Kaltwalzwerken in Deutschland und Frankreich.
Die Installation des entwickelten Soft-Sensors in
these phenomena and the mechanisms involved.
Industry is implementing the knowledge gained
in the form of a software sensor which is used
to control the production process in terms of
edge drop and spreading. For this purpose, BFI
has developed an optical traversing measuring
technique that registers the strip edge profile
over the strip length and is installed temporarily
at different locations in the rolling mill. These
measurements help to develop an understanding
of the processes taking place in the strip edge
zone during rolling. A combination of threedimensional
models and numerical simulations
is used to analyse the spreading and the profile
of the strip materials. The measurements help to
validate the models. Various actuators for influencing
the edge drop are being investigated in the
course of this project and classified according to
their importance. The development of smart soft
sensors to predict and estimate edge drop is a key
instrument in improving the strip edge profile.
The measuring system is currently supporting
the successful acquisition of quality-relevant strip
data in cold rolling mills in Germany and France.
