The sucking effect <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the chimneys depends <strong>on</strong> the air pressure and the temperature <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

the in- and out-going air. It can affect by build a black chimney and a white inlet. This<br />

c<strong>on</strong>cept can adaptable to all buildings. The important part for surgeries is the metal wall,<br />

that no mixing <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the cold and the filtered air is possible. In other buildings this is not<br />

necessary.<br />

The <strong>on</strong>ly part where external energy will be used is the air ventilati<strong>on</strong> system <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the circulati<strong>on</strong>.<br />

For this is a compact industrial machine useful, because these are robust, have<br />

a 2-stage filtering system, needs little space, can be adapted for the regi<strong>on</strong>al requirement<br />

and are service reduced.<br />

Outlook<br />

Systemair, a firm for ventilati<strong>on</strong> systems, has a new series <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> compact industrial ventilati<strong>on</strong><br />

systems (Table 2). These machines have as standard a 2-stage filter system, expandable<br />

to a 3-stage filter or sand filter. Without a heating system they need <strong>on</strong>ly a 230V<br />

voltage <str<strong>on</strong>g>with</str<strong>on</strong>g> 50Hz and the max airflow goes up to 7000 m 3 /h. The heaviest weight is<br />

683 kg, this is important for the shipping to Cameroun, but 260 kg is the mass <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> a possible<br />

system. The price <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>on</strong>e <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the possible machines is 16.000 €, but Systemair will<br />

The c<strong>on</strong>cept is a possible way to realize a cheap and durable c<strong>on</strong>cept <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> an air-management<br />

system for hospitals in Cameroun and worldwide, especially in developing countries.<br />
