With its distinguished and innovative
design, the complete ECO Newton
door closer series was able to convince 44
experts in one of the most prestigious
international design competitions . The
ECO Schulte group won the IF Design Award
in the category „product design“ .

FTS hold-open door closer
Feuer- und Rauchschutzabschlüsse
müssen als selbstschließende Türen
ausgeführt werden . Dabei kann die Gegenkraft
eines Türschließers oft hinderlich sein .
Der FTS-63 / R ist so konzipiert, dass er nach
einmaligem Öffnen der Tür den Hebelarm in
geöffneter Position festhält, und erst bei
Raucherkennung auslöst . Im aktivierten
Zustand des FTS ist damit die Tür ohne
störende Gegenkräfte frei bewegbar, so wie
eine ganz normale Zimmertür . Damit ist der
FTS-63 für schwache oder behinderte
Personen bestens geeignet .
Fire- and smoke control doors need to
be self-closing . Often, the opposing
force can be obstructive .
The FTS-63 / R is designed in a way that it
holds the arm in open position once the door
has been opened for the first time . Only upon
detection of smoke it releases the arm . With
the FTS being active, the door can be used
without any opposing forces, just like a normal
room door . This makes the FTS-63 especially
suitable for weak or disabled people .

Den ECO Freilauftürschließer
FTS-63 gibt es in 2 Ausführungen:
n FTS-63 (Feststellvorrichtung) für Anschluss
an bauseitige Rauchschalt- oder Brandmeldeanlagen
n FTS-63-R (Feststellanlage) mit integrierter
Rauchschaltzentrale, als autarkes System .
Zu den Haupteinsatzgebieten des FTS zählen
Objekte, in denen mit möglichst geringem Kraftaufwand
Türen zu öffnen sein müssen, z .B .:
n Pflegeheime
n Kindergärten, Schulen
n Krankenhäuser
The ECO FTS-63 free-swinging door
closer is available in two executions:
n FTS-63 (hold-open mechanism) for connection
to provided smoke- or fire alarm
system .
n FTS-63-R (hold-open device) with integrated
smoke detector as independent system .
The main field of application of the FTS are
objects in which the doors must be opened
with lowest possible effort, e .g .:
n Residential homes
n Kindergarten, schools
n Hospitals

Die neueste Version des FTS-63 ist in
diesem Jahr noch einmal technisch
und im Design überarbeitet worden:
n Der Magnet wurde 3 mm höher gesetzt
und die Aussparung im Gehäuse angepasst .
Dadurch konnte die Hebelarmjustierung
deutlich optimiert werden .
n Der neue FTS-63 erhält als neues Herzstück den
bereits bewährten ECO Newton TS-61 (2-5)
n Dadurch erzielt der FTS einen optimalen
Schließverlauf, eine bessere Einstellung
der Schließgeschwindigkeit, Endschlag und
Öffnungsdämpfung!
n Die Kabelanschlüsse wurden komplett
überarbeitet und es wurde eine separate
Anschlussklemme hinzugefügt . Dadurch
ist der 230 Volt Anschluss als auch der Anschluss
eines externen Handtasters deutlich
vereinfacht worden .
n Der Rauchmelder entspricht bereits der
neuen DIN 14677 .
The latest version of FTS-63 has been
revised both in its technique as well
as in its design:
n The magnet was placed 3 mm higher
and the cut-out in the body was
adjusted . The arm adjustment could be
optimized significantly .
n The new FTS-63 contains the ECO Newton
TS-61 (2-5), our well-experienced and
successful door closer .
n The FTS reaches an optimal closing process
and a better adjustment of closing speed,
latching speed and back-check!
n The cable connections have been completely
revised and an additional connection
was added . The 230V connection as well as
the connection of an external release button
have been simplified significantly .
n The smoke detector already complies with
the new DIN 14677 .

große Gefahr dar . Abhilfe verspricht

Clinical trials
Im Rahmen einer Studie des Nationalen
Britischen Gesundheitsdienstes (NHS –
National Health) wurde Bacterlon ® + auf seine
Effektivität gegen so genannte Krankenhausinfektionen
im Klinikalltag getestet . Dabei schnitt
die Bacterlon ® +-Technologie insbesondere im
Bezug auf ihre antimikrobiellen Eigenschaften
mit Bestnoten ab .
In a study of the British National Health
Service (NHS – NationalHealth)
Bacterlon ® + was tested for its effectiveness
against so-called hospital infections in the
hospital‘s daily practice . Particularly in relation
to its antimicrobial properties the Bacterlon ® +
technology achieved top marks .

Bei den klinischen Prüfungen in den
SHG-Kliniken ließ sich auf den veredelten
Kontakt- und Verkehrsflächen eine
Keimreduktion von über fünfzig Prozent
nachweisen . Die Ergebnisse bestätigen, dass
die Oberflächenveredelung mit Bacterlon ® +
äußerst effektiv gegen eine mikrobielle
Kontamination wirkt und damit die Einhaltung
der hohen Hygienestandards und des
Hygieneplans maßgeblich unterstützen kann .

Die Panikfunktion ist für Gebäude mit Zugang

Außen ist ein Blindschild oder ein Knopf montiert,
die Öffnung ist nur mit dem Schlüssel
möglich . Von innen klassische Panikfunktion
über den EPN 2000 II mit Schaltkontakt für
Voralarm oder Alarmweiterleitung .

Panic function E (Alternating function)
Panic Function is intended for buildings with
access for a defined group of persons . A blind
plate or knob is mounted on the outside and the
door can only be opened with a key . Conventional
panic function per EPN 2000 II from the
inside with switching contact for pre-alarm or
alarm forwarding .

handles S-310 (long, 1 .000 mm)
and S-330 (short, 330 mm) are
made of Ø 32mm stainless steel
