(Witten, GER) zeigt auf der IFFA zwei neue
Highlights für die Qualitätskontrolle von Lebensmitteln
in Schutzgasverpackungen: Für
die Dichtheitsprüfung von Verpackungen bietet
der neue „Leak-Master ® Easy“ eine kostengünstige
Lösung, für die nur Wasser und
Druckluft benötigt werden. Er eignet sich zur
Prüfung nahezu aller Lebensmittelverpackungen,
auch für Vakuumverpackungen. Das
Prüfsystem ermöglicht das Aufspüren selbst
kleinster Leckagen ganz ohne Prüfgas. Zur
Dichtheitskontrolle wird die Prüfpackung einfach
in die mit Wasser gefüllte Kammer gegeben
und der Luftraum über dem Wasserspiegel
evakuiert. Durch den Unterdruck bläht
sich die unter Wasser gedrückte Verpackung
auf. An undichten Stellen tritt Luft oder Füllgas
aus und perlt gut sichtbar nach oben. Der
Qualitätstester kann sofort sehen, ob und an
welcher Stelle die Verpackung undicht ist. Um
die Arbeit der Qualitätsverantwortlichen in
Betrieben mit Gasanlagen zu erleichtern, hat
Witt weiterhin sein Angebot an Analysatoren
aktualisiert: Mit dem kompakten PA 7.0
kommt ein komplett überarbeitetes Gerät zur
Messung von Sauerstoff und Kohlendioxid auf
den Markt. Der Analysator kann nun zwei
Dinge gleichzeitig. Parallel zur permanenten
Inline-Gasgemischüberwachung kann auch
eine Stichprobenanalyse durchgeführt werden.
Zudem verfügt der PA 7.0 über ein
neues Design, USB und SD-Karteneinschub
und weitere Schnittstellen. Der Analysator erkennt
jetzt sogar eine Verstopfung der Messnadel
und gibt eine Warnung aus. Die Messergebnisse
lassen sich anwender- und produktbezogen
zuordnen. Ein Datenspeicher
sichert die letzten 500 Messungen. Mittels
Datenexport und der eigens entwickelter
OBCC-Software kann der Anwender alle
Messergebnisse digital dokumentieren und
analysieren.
Quality control of
packaging
Experience two new Witt-Gasetechnik GmbH &
Co. KG (Witten, GER) highlights for the quality
control of modified atmosphere packaging at
IFFA 2013. When it comes to testing packaging
for leaks, the “Leak-Master ® Easy” provides a
reasonably priced solution that uses only water
and compressed air to operate the uncomplicated
test system. It is suitable for testing almost
all food packaging, including vacuum packaging.
Even the smallest leaks can be detected
without any test gas. The test packaging is
placed in the water-filled chamber for the leak
test and the air space above the water level is
evacuated. The immersed packaging inflates due
to the resultant vacuum. Air or filling gas e scapes
at leaking points, bubbling up in a clearly visible
manner. The quality tester can quickly and easily

Variationen in der Packformation
Der Casepacker CLP von CPS Case Packing
Systems (Stramproy, NED) belädt vollautomatisch
Kisten, Kartons oder Steigen in der
Convenience- und Frische-Industrie sowie
Fertiggericht-Industrie. So können Produkte
wie Hackfleisch, Hähnchenschenkel, Fertigsalate
in Trays und Schalen, aber auch in
flexible Beutel verpackt werden. Weil die
Produkte nicht ausgeglichen bzw. egalisiert
werden, können formfeste, halbflexible
aber auch flexible Verpackungen verarbeitet
werden. Das Zuführsystem kann jedes
individuelle Produkt drehen, was eine
große Variation in der Packformation erlaubt.
Nach der Positionierung werden die
Produkte von einem Greifsystem mittels
Vakuum aufgenommen. Ein starres Greifsystem
kann bis zu 120 Produkte pro Minute
und ein schwenkbares Greifsystem bis
zu 115 Produkte pro Minute verpacken –
je nach Produkt und Packbild. Weil die Produkte
nur vertikal bewegt werden, ist dieses

systems. The PA 7.0 even detects a needle blockage
and signals an alarm. Measurement results
can be assigned according to application and
product. A data memory stores the 500 most
recent measurements. Using data export and the
purpose-designed OBCC software, the user can
document all measurement results in digital form
and analyse them.

Als Spezialist für Etikettier- und Drucksysteme

European Labelling System GmbH & Co.
KG (Werther, GER). Das breit gefächerte Fertigungsprogramm
reicht von kompakten Tischgeräten
über halb- und vollautomatische
Etikettierstationen auch mit Förderbändern

Variations in pack
formation
The Casepacker CLP made by CPS Case
Packing Systems (Stramproy, Netherlands)
is an automatic packer of cases, boxes and
crates for the convenience, fresh food and
ready meal sectors. Products such as minced
meat, chicken drumsticks and ready salads
can be packed in trays and dishes but also in
flexible pouches. The products are not equalised
meaning that rigid, semi-rigid and even
flexible packaging can be processed. The
feeder system can turn each individual product,
permitting great variation in the pack
formation. After positioning, the products are
picked up by a vacuum gripper system. A rigid
gripper system can pack up to 120 products
per minute and a pivoting gripper system up
to 115 products per minute – depending on
the product and the pack form. The fact that
the products are only moved vertically means
that this system is extremely reliable yet
highly efficient. The device is intended primarily
for use in the convenience area.

for the widest range of labelling and printing
systems. The very diverse production program
of the company extends from compact
table-top models through to semi-automatic
and fully automatic labelling stations, including
those with conveyor systems, for integration in
packaging lines or thermoforming packaging
machines, and right up to a wide range of printing
and coding systems as well as specific software
for label design. In addition to this, the
company also produces special machines, and
one of these special labelling solutions will be at
the centre of the company‘s presence at the exhibition.
This special machine, which is based on
the ELS 310 labeller and designed primarily for
the food industry, is built for so-called sleevestyle
labelling and it is as attractive economically
as it is visually.
