Auf dem Messestand führen die ZF-
Services-Spezialisten die Instandsetzung
eines Pkw- und Lkw-Getriebes
vor. In einer Profichallenge tretenTeamsautorisierterPartnerwerkstätten
von ZF Services bei der Getriebe-Instandsetzung
gegeneinander
an. Präsentiert wird auch die Kooperation
mit Bosch: Die Inhalte der von
ZF Services vertriebenen Incat-DVD
– ein elektronischer Teilekatalog
mit Fotos, Servicedokumenten und
Montagehinweisen – sind nun in die
Bosch Esitronic integriert.
First time appearance as
ZF Services
ZF Services is present at the
Automechanika 2010 for the first
time after its reorganization. The
aftermarket business unit combines
the brands Sachs, Lemförder, Boge
und ZF Parts, the company‘s sales
and service organization as well as
its customer service activities.
The focus of their presentation is on
practical knowledge transfer. For
example, you can see ZF service
specialists performing maintenance
and repairs on both car and truck
transmissions. Teams representing
various authorized ZF Services
workshops will also be on hand to
compete in the art of transmission
maintenance and repair.
In addition, Bosch, in cooperation
with ZF Services, will also be represented
at the company booth. As of
quite recently the content of the ZF
Services Incat DVD – an electronic
parts catalog replete with photos,
service documentation and assembly
instructions – has been fully integrated
into the Bosch Esitronic
diagnostics software.

under the roof of the Group Auto
Union Deutschland GmbH (GAUD)
and come up with a workshop system
called Autoexcellent. By the
end of 2011 it should have as many
as 200 workshop partners. According
to Coparts General Manager
Ulrich Wohlgemuth, the system provider
is looking for “authorized
dealers who lose the contracts with
their manufacturers, entrepreneurs,
specialist tire dealers and paint and
body shop operators”.

Der Antriebsspezialist Gates
stellt ein neues Ersatzprodukt für
Nebenantriebe vor – diesmal für
Generator-Freilaufriemenscheiben
(OAP). Diese Komponenten sollen
unterschiedliche Drehzahlen im Nebenantrieb
ausgleichen. So vermeiden
sie, dass der Keilrippenriemen
durchrutscht.
In der Automobilproduktion verbreiten
sich OAP seit Mitte der
neunziger Jahre. Für Gates, einen
der größten Hersteller von Antriebsriemen
und -komponenten,
war es deshalb nötig, ein Ersatzteil
für dieses Produkt in sein Programm
aufzunehmen. Nach eigenen
Angaben führt das Unternehmen
damit alle Verschleißteile von Nebenantriebsriemensystemen
für
den Ersatzteilmarkt im Programm.
Auch bei Zahnriemen und Kühlungskomponenten
will Gates sein
Angebot erweitern. Da Fahrzeughersteller
zunehmend sogenannte
Stretch-Fit-Riemen einsetzen, präsentiert
Gates in Frankfurt ein
großes Sortiment solcher Produkte
für den Ersatzteilmarkt und stellt
die erforderlichen Werkzeuge für
den Einbau dieser speziellen Riemenart
vor. Besucher können am
Stand Live-Demonstrationen der
Einbauverfahren verfolgen.
The Gates Corporation, specialists
for automotive drive systems,
is introducing a new replacement
product for auxiliary drives –
this time for overunning alternator
pulleys (OAPs). These components
are designed to overcome variations
in different component speeds
inside accessory belt drive systems,
and thus to reduce the potential for
V-ribbed belt slippage.
OAPs have become increasingly
common as OE in the automotive
sector since the mid nineties. All
the more important for Gates, one
of the biggest manufacturers of
drive belts and components, to include
a replacement product for the
OAPs into its line of products. According
to the company, Gates now
offers the aftermarket all the parts
of the accessory belt drive system
that are subject to wear and tear.
Expansion of the timing belt and
cooling product program will also
be announced. As vehicle manufacturers
are turning more and more to
so-called Stretch Fit belts, Gates
will be on hand in Frankfurt with
the company‘s wide range of such
products for the aftermarket on
display together with the necessary
tools to install this special type of
belt. Visitors to the Gates stand can
witness live demonstrations of the
installation techniques.

Eine Lounge für Kunden
A lounge for its customers
NGK Spark Plug Europe präsentiert
Zündkerzen, Glühkerzen,
Lambdasonden und Zündleitungen
und gibt Neuigkeiten aus Erstausrüstung
und Aftermarket bekannt.
Zu den Highlights zählen die Spezialzündkerzen
für gasbetriebene
Motoren unter der Bezeichnung
LPG Laserline. Zum dritten Mal
lädt der Hersteller Werkstätten,
die am Bonusprogramm „Dangke“
teilnehmen, in die „Dangke-Lounge“
auf dem Messestand ein. Teilnehmer
sammeln mit jeder Produktverpackung
Punkte, die sie
gegen Geschenke eintauschen
können.
NGK Spark Plug Europe is
presenting spark plugs, glow
plugs, lambda probes and spark
plug cables along with new products
for both the OEM and automotive
aftermarket. Among the
highlights is the LPG Laserline,
special spark plugs for LPG-fueled
motors. For the third time NGK is
inviting workshops participating in
the “Dangke” bonus program to
the “Dangke Lounge” at its booth.
Participants can collect points for
every product package and exchange
them for gifts.
