An extremely rare and important Prague Renaissance turret clockwith 24 hour dial, day and night indicator, hour strike and alarmCase: bronze, firegilt, rectangular layout, convex base and pedestaldecorated with foliate pattern; front lavishly engraved with foliate scrolls,sides and back with very fine engraving: three saints, Simon the Zealoton the left, Paul the Apostle on the right, St. Christopher on the back.Signed and dated end plate, chased, with central bell and four cornerbalusters; height 470 mm. Dial: applied hour chapter ring with two setsof Roman “I-XII” and Arabic numerals “1-24”, raised markings for nightreading; central alarm disc with two sets of Arabic numerals “1-12” inanti-clockwise direction; central floral engraving, day and night indicatorat “12”, iron hands, iron pin for setting the alarm time.
