FROM THE M3 LINEAR TO THE X LINE 1000RMetal laser melting systemThe M3 linear, which made its debut at Euromold 2001, realised three lasertechnologies in one machine: LaserCUSING ® , 3D laser material erosion andlaser marking. Numerous major developments have been made since the releaseof the original machine. In 2004, the M1 cusing was released as a smaller alternative. The M2 cusing, presented in 2007, made it possible to work with reactive materials on aConcept Laser machine. Our entry-level model, the Mlab cusing, was presentedat Euromold 2010. In 2012, the Mlab system line was further expanded with anenhanced model capable of running reactive metals. In the same year ConceptLaser presented its largest machine targeted at production, the X line 1000R.From the original machine to the X line 1000R, the laser developed from a 100W lamp-pumped device to a 1000 W fibre laser. The build rate increased from2 cm 3 / h to 65 cm 3 / h.Since Concept Laser concentrates solely on metal laser melting, the M3 linearwith its two additional modules was removed from the product portfolio.Originally developed for tool making, Concept Laser systems have since becomewidespread in the jewellery, dental, medical, automotive, and aerospaceindustries.
