DIN EN 659:2008 (EN 659+A1+AC:2009) für den Innenangriff 

Modellserie PATRON FIRE 

Auf keinen Fall dürfen die einfachen Standardhandschuhe aus Leder beim Innenangriff getragen 

werden. Im Brandeinsatz sind die Feuerwehren erhöhten thermischen Belastungen 

ausgesetzt. Beim Innenangriff besteht immer die Gefahr der Stichflammenbildung oder eines 

Flash-overs. Neue Anforderungen wurden in der Norm EN 659:2008 (EN 659+A1+AC:2009) 

aufgenommen: beispielsweise zum Schrumpfen des Leders und Nahtfestigkeit. Interessant 

ist auch der neue Punkt Chemikaliendurchtritt. Hier muss der Handschuh gegen die nachfolgenden 

Chemikalien schützen: 

■ 30-prozentige Schwefelsäure 

■ 40-prozentiges Natriumhydroxid 

■ 36-prozentige Salzsäure 

■ O-Xylen

Fire Elk, FIRE KEEPER ® Pbi, Patriot und Fire Action sind nach neuester EN 659 Richtlinie 

geprüft und zertifiziert. Diese Norm beinhaltet immer die Normen EN 388, EN 407 und 

EN 420. 

Under no circumstances must simple standard gloves made of leather be worn 

for indoor fire- fighting. During a fire the fire brigade personnel is exposed 

to more extreme thermal conditions. During indoor fire-fighting there is always 

a danger of the formation of darting flames or flashovers. New requirements 

have been included in the EN 659:2008 (EN 659+A1+AC:2009) norm: for example 

the shrinking of the leather and strength of the seams. Also of interest is the 

new point concerning the penetration of chemicals. Here the glove has to 

protect against the following chemicals: 

■ 30 percent sulphuric acid 

■ 40 percent sodium hydroxide 

■ 36 percent hydrochloric acid 

■ O-xylene

Für unsere Handschuhe verwenden wir ausgewählte und leistungsstarke Inserts (Membrane) von bekannten 

Marken wie Porelle und Hipora. 

Alle Klimamembranen besitzen die gleiche Grundfunktion: Sie schützen den Körper vor Feuchtigkeit von außen und transportieren unter 

Ausnutzung eines Temperaturgefälles die Trans-piration von innen nach außen. Dadurch erhalten unsere Handschuhe hohe Komforteigenschaften. 

Alle Membranen bestehen aus Polyurethan oder Polyester. Durch spezielle Verarbeitungsrichtlinien sind die Membranen extrem strapazierfähig, 

dehnbar und äußerst reißfest. Für eine wasserdichte Konstruktion wird jede einzelne Naht mit einem besonderen Heißsiegelband verschweißt, 

damit durch die Nähte kein Wasser von außen dringen kann. 

For our gloves we use selected high-performance inserts (membranes) from famous brands such 

as Porelle and Hipora. 

All climate membranes have the same basic function: they protect the body against moisture from outside and transport 

the perspiration from the inside to the outside using a temperature gradient. This provides our gloves with excellent comfort 

properties. All membranes consist of polyurethane or polyester. Due to our special processing guidelines the membranes are 

exceptionally hard-wearing, stretchable and extremely tear-proof. In order to provide a waterproof structure each individual 

seam is fused with a special heat-sealing band so that no water can penetrate the seals from the outside.
