initiated the overdue<br />
discussion about<br />
the dimensions of<br />
means of<br />
transport on<br />
German roads.<br />
Even today, former<br />
doubters are prepared<br />
to have a different look<br />
on the development and to<br />
continue the discussion on a<br />
new level in terms of quality.<br />
This will also take place in Hanover – under the<br />
umbrella of VDA and with the participation of our<br />
competitors.<br />
WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF IAA<br />
NUTZFAHRZEUGE FOR KRONE?<br />
For us, this event is the fair par excellence. Every two<br />
years, the IAA is the climax of a development stage,<br />
where the national and international potential of the<br />
business is demonstrated. But the fair not only is a<br />
presentation platform for new products, but also a<br />
panel for creative dialogues between manufacturers<br />
and customers. In 2004, the high number of visitors<br />
and the presence of the media at our<br />
stand certainly were an indication<br />
that KRONE is appreciated<br />
on the market.<br />

DEVELOPMENT AT KRONE<br />
BETWEEN THE IAA FAIRS?<br />
We have run through a period<br />
of rapid progress. Six years ago,<br />
we produced 30 vehicles per<br />
day; today, 120 units per day<br />
leave the plant, and soon it will<br />
be 140 vehicles per day. We<br />
want to become the No. 1, and<br />
the IAA is our promoter on this<br />
way. Quality and productivity<br />
increases with reduced prices,<br />
flexible customer orientation<br />
and an enlarged sales network<br />
are among the important<br />
results of our strategic decisions.<br />
The “TrailerForum” is also<br />
a new development of this<br />
period.<br />

TO COME?<br />
We will be able to stabilise our successes if we<br />
precisely consider the requirements of the market<br />
with our sophisticated products. We know, however,<br />
that neither globalisation can be stopped nor entrepreneurial<br />
solos will be successful. Thus, among other<br />
things, we plead for liberalised and harmonised<br />
European regulations and speak up for an intensive<br />
dialogue with our customers. For customers can only<br />
be satisfied if they are treated as partners of a<br />
successful organisation. Just as it is the case in the<br />
KRONE “extended family”.<br />
