Seit Sommer 2016 ergänzt der Squashstar Miguel Ángel Rodríguez das VICTOR Squash 

Team. Die Zusammenarbeit unterstreicht den Vormarsch von VICTOR auf dem internationalen 

Squashmarkt. Die positive Entwicklung ermöglicht Kooperationen mit den Verbänden 

aus Australien, Brasilien und nicht zuletzt dem Heimatland von Miguel, Kolumbien. 

Miguel Ángel Rodríguez kam das erste Mal im Alter von zwei Jahren durch seinen Vater 

mit Squash in Kontakt. Von da an entwickelte sich eine Liebe und Leidenschaft zu diesem 

Sport, die bis heute anhält. Sehr schnell wurde der Alltag von Miguel auf Training und 

Wettkampf eingestellt und so begann bereits mit 11 Jahren seine unvergleichbare, internationale 

Karriere. Im Jahr 2014 erreichte Miguel die Nr. 14 der Weltrangliste und wurde damit 

der höchstplatzierteste Latein Amerikanische Squashspieler aller Zeiten. Seine bisher 

höchste Weltranglistenposition war Platz 4 und er hat einige der größten internationalen 

Turniere gewonnen: Gold bei den South American Games, Central American Games und 

den Panam Games. Bei den World Games holte er die Bronze Medaille. 

Seinen Spitznamen „The Colombian Cannonball“ verdankt er seinem athletisch geprägten 

Spielstil und den Hechtsprüngen, die von allen Zuschauern weltweit bejubelt werden. 

Miguel gilt als Zuschauerliebling und wir sind stolz darauf, mit ihm die Premium Marke 

VICTOR im internationalen Squashmarkt fest positionieren zu können. 

Squashstar Miguel Ángel Rodríguez is the new part of the VICTOR Squash Team since summer 

2016. The cooperation underlines that VICTOR is on the rise in the international squash 

market and the positive development enables further cooperation with the federations of 

Australia, Brazil and not at least the homeland of Miguel, Colombia. 

Miguel Ángel Rodríguez had the first contact with squash at the age of 2 with his father. 

Ever since that age, he developed a love and passions for this sport, which is still going on. 

Squash started to become very fast a priority of his life consisting of training and competition 

and his incomparable international career started at the age of 11. 

In 2014 Miguel reached the No. 14 of the PSA world rankings for the first time and became 

the highest-ranked Latin-American player. 

His best PSA world ranking was No. 4, and he won some of the biggest international tournaments: 

Gold medals at the South American Games, Central American Games and the 

Panam Games. He also won the bronze medal at the World Games. 

His nickname “The Colombian Cannonball” is based on his athletic style of playing and his 

phenomenal dives, which are acclaimed of the viewers all over the world. Miguel is a favourite 

for the viewers and we are proud to position VICTOR as a premium brand in the squash

Unser VICTOR Squashball genießt weltweit eine konstant hochwertige 

Qualität. Bestätigt wird dies u.a. durch das offizielle WSF Zertifikat 

(World Squash Federation). Seit 2014 wird unser VICTOR Squashball 

doppelgelb als Spielball in Deutschland und Österreich eingesetzt. 

Ab 2017 wird das Portfolio durch einen VICTOR Squashball grün für den 

Einsatz in regionalen Höhenzonen ergänzt. Durch diese Erweiterungen 

wird der VICTOR Squashball zukünftig Spielball in Kolumbien und 

Brasilien sein. Die weiteren Geschwindigkeiten (blau, rot und gelb) sind 

gleichermaßen verfügbar. 

The VICTOR Squashball enjoys a consistently high qual ity around the 

world. This is confirmed by the official WSF Certificate (World Squash 

Federation). Since 2014 our VICTOR Squashball double yellow has been 

used as a game ball in Germany and Austria. For 2017 the portfolio 

will be complemented with a green VICTOR Squashball green for using 

regional higher altitudes. By this enlargement the VICTOR Squashball 

will be the game ball in Colombia and Brazil in the future. The other 

speeds (blue, red and yellow) are available in equal measure.
