CH El Brillo 1985 - 2018
Im gesegneten Alter von 33 Jahren mußte Ferdinand
Huemer Abschied von seinem Stammhengst
CH El Brillo nehmen. Dabei war es ein
Glücksfall für das Gestüt La Movida, dass dieser
El Shaklan-Sohn 1999 ins Gestüt kam. Ferdinand
Huemer suchte eigentlich einige El Shaklan-Töchter
für seine Ali Jamaal-Hengste, war
dann aber von CH El Brillo völlig fasziniert. Nach
langen zähen Verhandlungen konnte Ferdinand
Huemer ihn kaufen.
El Brillo hatte nicht nur einen fantastischen
Charakter, er war auch ein fantastischer Zuchthengst
– unter seinen Nachkommen finden
Pferde, wie Anais el Bri (a.d. Ancholy Ali), Porla
El Bri (a.d. Porlamar), und natürlich Reza El Bri
(a.d. Regine El Jamaal), die zu den besten Produkten
des Gestüts La Movida zählt, aber auch
Stammstuten anderer Zuchten.
At the blessed age of 33, Ferdinand Huemer
had to bid farewell to his foundation stallion
CH El Brillo. It was a stroke of luck for the stud
La Movida, that this son of El Shaklan 1999
came to the stud farm. Actually, Ferdinand
Huemer was looking for some El Shaklan
daughters for his Ali Jamaal-stallions, but
then he was totally fascinated by CH El Brillo.
After some long and tough negotiations, Ferdinand
Huemer could finally buy him.
El Brillo not only had a fantastic character,
he also was a fantastic sire - among his offspring
we find horses such as Anais El Bri (out
of Ancholy Ali), Porla El Bri (out of Parlamar)
and, of course, Reza El Bri (out of Regine El Jamaal),
one of the best products of La Movida
Stud, but there were also many more foundation
horses of other studs.

Im Alter von nur 14 Jahren starb Tagweed,
Hauptbeschäler im ägyptischen Staatsgestüt
El Zahraa. Laut agri2day.com litt er an einem
Tumor in der Luftröhre, wodurch er akute
Atemnot bekam.
Tagweed entstammte den seiner Zeit besten
Elterntieren im Gestüt, von Gad Allah aus
der Tee (von Adl). Er wurde mir 2007 als der
vielversprechendste Junghengst seiner Zeit
vorgestellt und entwickelte sich im Laufe
der Jahre zu einem würdigen Hauptbeschäler
- und Liebling der Fotografen! Allerdings
erreichte er bei weitem nicht die Bedeutung
seines Vaters Gad Allah oder seines Großvaters
Adl. Er verkörperte, wie die meisten Pferde
in El Zahraa, den klassischen Typ, verfügte
über ausgezeichnete Gänge, leider mit einem
etwas schwachen Rücken.

Tagweed 2004 - 2018
Tagweed, the Chief-Sire of the Egytpian State
Stud El Zahraa, died at the age of only
14 years. According to the Agri2day.com,
he suffered from a tumour in the trachea,
which caused severe breathing problems.
Tagweed has been bred from the best parents
available at the stud at the time, by
Gad Allah out of Tee (by Adl). He was presented
to me in 2007 as the most promising
young stallion of his time and developed
into a worthy chief sire - and the most popular
model for photographers! However,
he did not reach the significance of this sire
Gad Allah, or his grandsire Adl. He was an
example for the classic type, as most horses
of El Zahraa are, he had excellent movements,
but unfortunately a weak back.

El Wodkine 1995 - 2018
Ende Januar mußte der ehemalige Rennstar
El Wodkine nach schwerer Krankheit eingeschläfert
werden.
Während seiner aktiven Rennkarriere (1999
– 2008) nahm er an 66 Rennen teil, erzielte
dabei 28 Siege, 15 zweite und sechs dritte
Plätze. Er beendete seine Karriere mit einem
GAG von 80 kg (!) und erhielt für seine Leistung
2007 die WAHO-Trophy.
El Wodkine ist auch heute noch laut IFAHR-Liste
das erfolgreichste arabische Rennpferd
Schwedens nach Gewinnsumme und hat
auch Pferde französischer Abstammung geschlagen.
Im letzten Jahr waren zwei Söhne
von ihm mit einigen Siegen in Warschau aktiv.
Mit El Wodkine ist wieder ein Leistungsträger
züchterisch kaum genutzt von uns gegangen…

At the end of January, the former racing star
El Wodkine had to be put down after a serious
illness.
During his active racing carreer (1999-2009),
he took part in 66 races, winning 28 of them,
coming 15 times second and six times third.
He finished his racing carreer with the GAG
of 80 kg (!) and was awarded with the WAHO
Trophy for his lifetime achievements in 2007.
According to IFAHR, El Wodkine is still Sweden's
most successful race horses according
to prize money and has beaten also horses
of French bloodlines. Last year, two of his
sons were active at the Warszaw racetrack
where they achieved some victories.
With El Wodkine, yet another performance
horse passed away, hardly used as a sire.
