zur »Orangerie« im Timmendorfer Strand. Im Zentrum der
Sinnestour steht entspanntes Dinieren und der Austausch
miteinander.
Tinkerer, unconventional thinkers
& product idealists
For the 32nd season of the Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet
Festival, top-class representatives of various state cuisines, whose
creativity, sustainability and joy of experimentation are shaping
the gourmet scene, will gather in the »true« North. The organizing
cooperation Gastliches Wikingland e.V. not only wants to delight
guests with such interesting guest chefs, but also broaden their horizon
of enjoyment and that of their own employees.
For the opening gala on 21st September, around 160 guests will
be served an interesting mixture of different national cuisines: Nordic,
French, Mediterranean, Euro-Asian and regional-experimental.
In the kitchen of the Waldhaus Reinbek, the star chefs Iris
Bettinger, who combines local produce with international spices,
Marco Müller, who consistently combines sustainability and
regionalism, and the Danish lateral thinker René Mammen as
well as pioneer Alfred Schreiber and local hero Christian Dudka
will man the stoves and ovens.
The opening gala will be followed by 33 events, including the new
»Gourmet Island-Hopping« event on and between Sylt and
Amrum on 20th October 2018. The »Gourmet Island Hopping«
is a gourmet trip over the water for 26 guests. After a welcome
with finger food in the »Fitschen am Dorfteich«, guests will be
driven to Hörnum, and from there, onto the water. On the MS
Adler-Express, guests will enjoy champagne and mussels. The
intermediate and main course are served in the »Seeblick Genuss
und Spa Resort« on Amrum. The final dessert and digestif are
served again on Sylt.
Since twelve years, the »Tour de Gourmet Jeunesse« introduces
young connoisseurs between the ages of 18 and 35 to the high
cuisine. The pleasurable road trip starts on 12th January 2019 in
Pinneberg. With a bus shuttle, the guests will be taken to Schleswig
via Friedrichstadt.
For the fourth time, the »Tour de Gourmet Solitaire« for single
travellers over 40 years of age leads through the North. The concept
reflects the spirit of the times: more than 15.8 million people
in Germany currently live alone. For the season finale on Sunday,
10th March 2019, the communicative restaurant hopping will
take the guests from the »Park Hotel Ahrensburg« via the »Ringhotel
Friederikenhof« in Lübeck to the »Orangerie« at Timmendorfer
Strand. The focus of the sensory tour is relaxed dining and
the exchange with each other.
»We are proud that after 26 years of German culinary commitment,
Harald Wohlfahrt, will once again be presenting his cuisine
of superlatives at the ›Orangery‹ in the ›Maritim Seehotel‹«, says
Klaus-Peter Willhöft, chairman of the cooperation.
Three female starred chefs are among the 18 guest chefs who will
be giving insights into their skills from 21st September 2018 to
10th March 2019.
Henrik Jyrk from Copenhagen, René Mammen from Aarhus,
Sweden’s only star chef Titti Qvarnström, former Olympic champion
Mattias Roock, currently in Ticino, Switzerland, and David
Görne, the first German to receive a Michelin star in France, radiate
European flair.
