Die traditionelle Welcome Party eröffnete wie immer die
Austrian Reining Futurity. Aufgrund der Corona-Auflagen
hatte Gastgeber Helmut Schulz besonders auf eine großzügige
Aufteilung geachtet, so dass Social Distancing problemlos
eingehalten werden konnte. Das gute Wetter und die leckeren
Speisen taten ihr übriges für eine tolle Stimmung. „Es ist wie
ein großes Treffen der Reining Familie“, so Helmut Schulz.
„Alle sind gut drauf, jeder redet mit jedem und passt trotzdem
auf. Einfach eine schöne Show!“

The traditional Welcome Party opened as always the Austrian Reining
Futurity. Due to the Corona requirements, host Helmut Schulz had paid
special attention to a generous division, so that social distancing could
be easily maintained. The good weather and delicious food also contributed
to a great atmosphere. „It is like a big meeting of the Reining
family“, said Helmut Schulz. „Everybody is in a good mood, everybody
talks to everybody and still pays attention. Just a great show!“

Host Helmut Schulz could be happy
twice: his two horses Laredos Whiz

and 4th (213,5 and 212,5 respectively)
under Valentina Sagmeister and Dennis
Schulz. Also on place 4: Jonas Bujnoch
on Petr Julina‘s PL Not Trashy (L2 and
L3) and Klaus Lechner on Broadish
Tinsel Gun (L3).
This was also the lead in L1 for Jonas
Bujnoch. His mare who was bred by
Luigi Parise, is a daughter of Gunnatrashya
out of Nu Chex Donna. Marco

placed second scoring a 211.5.
Third place went to Patrick Göschl,

Der Non Pro Go round der 3-jährigen
Pferde eröffnete die Futurityklassen.
Wie im Vorjahr waren 20 Pferde in den
vier Levels gemeldet. In der L4 ging
Richard Hagl mit seinem selbstgezogenen
Hengst Spook By Hollywood
(Best Spook x Gunnin In Hollywood)
in Führung. Der Vaterstettener, der bereits
mehrfach die AQHA Weltrangliste
in Amateur Reining angeführt hat, war
auch Besitzer und Züchter des Austrian
Futurity Champions Intermediate Open
2019 Hollys Shiny Shine, der ebenfalls
aus der Gunnin In Hollywood ist.
„Wir haben beim ersten Spin überdreht,
und nach dem letzten Stop gab es ein
Missverständnis, aber ich bin sehr zufrieden
mit dem Hengst“, so Richard
Hagl nach dem Ritt. „Er war sehr, sehr
brav. Mein besonderer Dank gilt Klaus
Lechner, der ihm in den letzten zwei
Monaten den Feinschliff gab und der
uns hier betreut. Er wird auch Hollys
Shiny Shine in der 4-jährigen Futurity
Open reiten.“

Den besten Ritt im L3 Go round legte
Julia Gaupmann-Lechner mit der von
ihr gezüchteten Stute Guns Are For Ladies
(Tinseltownsmokingun x LV One
Smart Lady) hin - der Score: 210,5. Ju-
lia freute sich riesig über ihr Pferd: „Sie
war super brav, dabei wusste ich noch
bis vor einer Woche nicht, ob ich sie auf
die Futurity mitnehmen soll. Sie schien
mir nicht solide genug in den Manövern.
Aber die Stute ist einfach ein Showpferd
– Du gehst rein, und sie gibt alles.“ Für
Julia war dieser Erfolg zudem als Züchter
etwas ganz Besonderes, denn sowohl
mit dem Vater, als auch mit der Mutter
von Guns Are For Ladies war sie NRHA

Non Pro Go round 3-year-old Horses
Richard Hagl leads in L4, Julia Gaupmann-Lechner
in L3 and Julia Knapp in L2 and L1
The Non Pro Go round of the 3-year-old horses opened the
Futurity classes. Like last year 20 horses were entered in the
four levels. In the L4 Richard Hagl took the lead with his
self-bred stallion Spook By Hollywood (Best Spook x Gunnin
In Hollywood). Richard, who has led AQHA World Ranking
in Amateur Reining several times, was also the owner and
breeder of the 2019 Austrian Futurity Champion Intermediate
Open 2019 Hollys Shiny Shine, who is also out of Gunnin
In Hollywood.
„We overspun at the first spin and after the last stop there was
a misunderstanding, but I am very happy with this horse,“
Richard Hagl said after the ride. „He was really with me all
the time . My special thanks go to Klaus Lechner, who gave
him the finishing touches in the last two months and who is
looking after us here. He will also ride Hollys Shiny Shine in
the 4-year Futurity Open.“
Three riders followed in second place: Bo Brutsaerts on KB
Dreaminbout Jen, Lena Schmidl on ND Special Nitter and
Julia Gaupmann-Lechner on Diamondsforgirls.
The best ride in the L3 Go round was achieved by Julia
Gaupmann-Lechner with her mare Guns Are For Ladies
(Tinseltownsmokingun x LV One Smart Lady) - the score:
210.5. Julia was very happy about her horse: „She was super
well-behaved, but until a week ago I didn‘t know whether I
should take her to Futurity. She didn‘t seem solid enough in
the manoeuvres. But the mare is just a show horse - you go
in, and she gives her all.“ For Julia, this success was also
something very special as a breeder, because she was NRHA
European Champion with both the sire and dam of Guns Are
For Ladies!
Second in the L3 Go round was Julia Knapp with Gunlover
(210), who took the lead in L2 and L1. The stallion is by
Tinseltownsmokingun out of Ruf Lil Scamp and was bred by
Jula Gaupmann-Lechner.

Third place in L3 and second place in L2 and L1 was taken

Mit einer 214,5 entschied Sebastian Eisler auf The Ladys A Lil Ruf
(Lil Ruf Peppy x The Ladys A Gambler) die Intermediate Open
für sich. Die 14-jährige Stute, die früher international erfolgreich
unter Sylvia Rzepka lief, bewies hier einmal mehr ihr Talent und
ihre Zuverlässigkeit. The Ladys A Lil Ruf hatte 2019 unter ihrem
Besitzer Florian Kainz eine herausragende Saison. Unter anderem
waren die beiden Austrian Maturity Champion Non Pro L4 und L3.
Zweite wurde mit nur einem halben Zähler Abstand Gisela Denk
auf Gernot Kuttners Shinedeninger (Gunnatrashya x Shining
Whiz). Mit der 6-jährigen Stute war Gisela letztes Jahr Dritte auf
der Austrian Futurity der 4-jährigen Pferde in L1 Open und Austrian
Maturity Reserve Champion Open L1, Vierte in L2 und Fünfte
in L3. Das Pferd stammt aus der Zucht von Katarzyna Roleska.
Den dritten Platz belegte Patrick Göschl mit Tinseltownssmartest
im Besitz von Sabine Franzisky (210,5). Platz 4 teilten sich
Sebastian Eisler mit Norbert Nestelbergers Brownies Chex Whiz
und Lukas Brucek auf Hangten Reign im Besitz von Mariusz
Grzywacz Baurski (beide 208,5)

With a 214.5 Sebastian Eisler won the Intermediate Open aboard
The Ladys A Lil Ruf (Lil Ruf Peppy x The Ladys A Gambler). The
14-year-old mare, who used to be internationally successful under
Sylvia Rzepka, proved her talent and reliability once again.
The Ladys A Lil Ruf had an outstanding 2019 season with her
owner Florian Kainz claiming e.g. the Austrian Maturity Championship
Non Pro L4 and L3.
Second was Gisela Denk aboard Gernot Kuttner‘s Shinedeninger
(Gunnatrashya x Shining Whiz) who scored a 214. With the
6-year-old mare, Gisela was third at last year‘s Austrian Futurity
4-year-old horses in L1 Open and Austrian Maturity Reserve
Champion Open L1, fourth in L2 and fifth in L3. The horse was
bred by Katarzyna Roleska.
Third place honours went to Patrick Göschl with Tinseltownssmartest
owned by Sabine Franzisky (210,5). Two riders tied for
fourth place scoring a 208.5 each: Sebastian Eisler with Norbert
Nestelberger‘s Brownies Chex Whiz and Lukas Brucek on Hangten
Reign owned by Mariusz Grzywacz Baurski.

dominieren Limited Open
31 Pferd-Reiter-Kombinationen gingen in der Limited
Open an den Start. Relativ früh setzten sich Pavel Orel
und der 5-jährige in Italien gezogene FB Spooks Giant
Dry (Spooks Gotta Gun x Noor Nicdry) im Besitz
von Vladimir Cejka mit einer 215 an die Spitze. Dies
sollte schließlich den Sieg in dieser Klasse bedeuten.
Die beiden waren letztes Jahr bereits Austrian Futurity
Finalists.
Platz 2 ging ganz knapp dahinter an Sebastian Eisler auf
The Ladys A Lil Ruf (Bes. Florian Kainz), der bereits
die Intermediate Open gewonnen hatte (214,5). Dritte
wurde mit einer 214 Gisela Denk auf Gernot Kuttners

31 horse-rider combinations competed in the Limited
Open. Relatively early on, Pavel Orel and
the 5-year-old FB Spooks Giant Dry (Spooks
Gotta Gun x Noor Nicdry) took the lead scoring
a 215. This should eventually mean the Championship
in this class. The horse which was bred
in Italy and is owned by Vladimir Cejka, was an
Austrian Futurity Finalist last year with Pavel in
the saddle.

had already won the Intermediate Open (214.5).

Vladimir Cejka gewinnt Rookie L1
Na, wenn das keiner schöner Auftakt zur Austrian
Reining Futurity 2020 war: 28 Pferd-Reiter-
Kombinationen waren für die Rookie L1 und L2
gemeldet. Zum Sieg war jeweils eine 71 nötig.
Die L1 dominierte der Tscheche Vladimir Cejka
mit dem 9-jährigen Twelve Twenty Whiz (Walla
Walla Whiz x Bonita Bahia). Cejka konnte sich
zudem mit Whensungoesdown auch noch Platz 2
sichern – zusammen mit Simona Linhartova auf
Tangys Ghost Face. Beide erzielten eine 70. Vierter
wurde Jan-Luca Waizenegger auf Nu Chex
Dot Com (69,5).
Vladimir Cejka claims
Rookie Championship L1
Well, if that wasn‘t a nice start to the Austrian
Reining Futurity 2020: 28 horse-rider combinations
had been entered for the Rookie L1 and L2,
and for the Championship, a score of 71 had to
be achieved.
The L1 was dominated by the Czech Vladimir
Cejka aboard his 9-year-old Twelve Twenty Whiz

Reining. Mit nur einen halben Zähler Abstand folgte Denise
Kummer auf Julia Gaupmann-Lechners ARC Ms Whiz auf
Platz 2 (70,5). Dritter wurde mit einer 70 Vladimir Cejka auf
Whensungoesdown, gefolgt von Jan-Luca Waizenegger auf
Nu Chex Dot Com (69,5).
