Six months after the 2022 FIM EnduroGP World Championship kicked off in Spain, the series is set to
come to a close in Germany following two visits to Portugal and rounds in Italy, Slovakia and Hungary.
It has been an important season for this specialist discipline with it being the first campaign under the
leadership of the new FIM promoter Prime Stadium. Already the benefits of having the Portuguese company
at the helm are being felt by all involved, and with much more planned for the future.
As I have expressed many times previously Enduro is a sport very close to my heart, so I am happy to
see how this season has played out this year. Like so many disciplines, Enduro was hit hard during the
pandemic, however it is now back on the right path, and I have every confidence that it will continue to
grow over the coming years thanks to the efforts of all our key stakeholders.
With this in mind and on behalf of the FIM I would like to thank the promoter, the FIM Enduro Commission,
the FIM offcials, our national federations, the local organisers, the many volunteers, the riders,
the teams, the manufacturers, the media, plus all associated partners and sponsors - and finally you the
fans. I truly hope it is a safe and exciting final weekend of racing.

It is fair to say there was much anticipation heading into this season with Prime Stadium in place as the
new championship promoter, after having had one year back in the control of the FIM. As we stated at
the time, it was always the FIM’s intention to appoint a new promoter, as we felt this was best for the
discipline in the future. 2022 has proved to be a strong opening season for the Portuguese based promoter
with seven good events spread across six different countries as we continue to get back to a new
normal after the pandemic.
From a sporting point of view, we have been very satisfied with the standard of the events to date this
season and we are confident that the closing race in Germany will also be a great event and one fitting
to crown the new FIM EnduroGP World Champion at the end of the two days of competition.
This event, like all the events is the result of a huge team effort and a close collaboration between all
parties. On behalf of the FIM Enduro Commission I would like to praise all the individuals, professionals
and volunteers, for their continued passion and energy and for playing their part in putting Enduro
back at the level it belongs at. Finally, I would like to wish all the riders the best of luck this weekend
and hope that all you fans enjoy the action.

nach zweijähriger Pause ist es wieder soweit, der Endurosport kann seine Tradition in Zschopau fortsetzen!
Die beliebte Veranstaltung „Rund um Zschopau“, welche gleichzeitig auch der Finallauf zur Enduro Weltmeisterschaft
ist, findet vom 14. – 16.10.2022 im Erzgebirge statt.
Als Highlight im Motorsportkalender des Jahres 2022 erwarten wir Aktive und Gäste aus der ganzen Welt.
Die Sportfreunde, Fans und Helfer der Region sind mit Eifer und Engagement dabei, diese hochkarätige
Veranstaltung würdig vorzubereiten und durchzuführen.
Besonderer Dank gilt auch dem Landkreis und den Gemeinden für die Unterstützung.
Der Motorsport, besonders der Endurosport, begeistert die Region um Zschopau schon seit Generationen.
Der MSC Rund um Zschopau und dessen Mitglieder sorgen als Veranstalter für eine interessante und
anspruchsvolle Streckenführung!
In den Ortsclubs des ADAC Sachsen steht die Jugend und Nachwuchsarbeit im Mittelpunkt. Deshalb
sind wir bestrebt, ein breites Spektrum verschiedener Motorsportarten anzubieten. Hervorzuheben
sind die Veranstaltungen wie der Enduro Jugend Cup Ost und die Durchführung der Deutschen Enduro
Meisterschaft.
