Charge Transfer at Conducting Polymers: Fundamental and Applications
81. Bunsen-Kolloquium
September 21–23, 2002 in Dresden
The promise of conducting polymers is to combine the chemical, electrochemical, electronically, mechanical and processing properties
of polymeric materials with the electric behaviour of metals or semiconductors to create new synthetic metals with desired property profiles
and charge transfer properties.
This meeting is devoted to all aspects of charge transfer at conducting polymers. The resulting changes in electrochemical, chemical and
electronic structure and their influence on the properties get special attention. Electrochemical, chemical and physical as well as theoretical
considerations are presented in the scientific programme.
The main topics:
• Theory of conducting polymers • Electrochemistry and spectroelectrochemistry of conducting polymers
• Spectroscopy at charge states in conducting polymers • Recent and future applications of conducting polymers
