Press Release: Recall of Trespass BELTA Rubber Mallet due to Exceedance of PAH
Limits
Muri, 12.09.2024 – Optitrade & Service AG, on behalf of the manufacturer Trespass
International Sportswear Company (Jacobs & Turner Ltd) based in Glasgow, announces a
recall of the Trespass Belta Rubber Mallet. This recall affects all units sold since July 13,
2023.
Reason for Recall:
Internal quality checks have revealed that the PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons)
limits for this product have been exceeded. Therefore, we are recalling the item as a
precaution, as there could be potential risks associated with contact with the plastic parts.
Although no incidents or damages have been reported so far, the recall is being conducted
preventively to eliminate any potential hazard.
Actions for Customers:
Customers who have purchased the Trespass Belta Rubber Mallet since July 13, 2023, are
asked to return the product to the point of sale at any time. The full purchase price will be
refunded.
Distribution Channels:
The product was sold both online and in specialty stores.
