Welcome to the Hamburger Volkshochschule!
Learn German, increase your language competence, obtain a certificate
Just in case you do not know us yet – the Hamburger Volkshochschule is a public institution for adult
education, in fact the largest one in Hamburg. One part of its programme is German as a Foreign
Language (DaF). With our wide range of
German courses at all levels (A1-C2),
Integration courses (Intensive Courses A1-B1) and
DaF-Certificates (A2-C1)
we have become one of the most important educational institutions for immigrants in Hamburg. Furthermore,
we are your partner in the procedure of gaining citizenship by naturalization – not only do
we offer the required language test (B1) but we are also the centre for naturalization tests for which
you can prepare in one of our courses if you need a preparation.
