Garlic fundraiser sold out
HAMPDEN – The Touch of Garlic dinner fundraiser
on April 29 at the Hampden Senior Center to benefit
Friends of Hampden Seniors is sold out. Tickets are no
longer available.
Dinner and a Movie Night at
Grace Union Church
WILBRAHAM - Grace Union Church, 10 Chapel
St. will be holding and Italian Dinner and Movie
Night Saturday, April 14 at 5 p.m. They will be showing
“Mamma Mia!” and the menu will feature pasta, meatballs,
sausage, Italian bread, tossed Salad, beverage and
dessert. Adult admission will cost $10, Children $3. For
reservations call Gayle Whitehill at 596-3936. Take out
dinners are available.
Easter Picnic Dinner at
Federated Community Church
HAMPDEN – The Easter Picnic Dinner at the Federated
Community Church, 590 Main St., Hampden will
be held on Saturday, April 14 at 6 p.m. Menu includes
ham, homemade potato salad, baked beans, salad, rolls,
dessert and beverages. Adults $12, children $8. Call for

Divine Mercy Sunday Service
in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD - The residents of Wilbraham and
Hampden have been invited to the Sunday, April 15 afternoon
Divine Mercy Service being held at Catherine of
Siena Church located at 1023 Parker St., Springfield.
The service will begin at 1:15 p.m. with the praying
of the Rosary followed by Mass at 2 p.m. At 3 p.m. the
Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed followed by Benediction
and a blessing with a St. Faustina relic.

Hampden Garden Club to
meet April 19
HAMPDEN - The first 2012 monthly meeting of the
Hampden Garden Club will be held at Academy Hall on
Thursday, April 19 at 7 p.m. Randy Prostak, an extension
weed specialist at U Mass, will speak about invasive
plants. The meeting will usher in the 80 anniversary
year of the club.

Grand Prize winner…
Michelle Itkin was the grand prize winner
at the Wilbraham Recreation Department’s
Ninth Annual Egg Hunt at Spec Pond Saturday,
April 7. Volunteers from the Minnechaug
Key Club helped out at the event.
The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Wilbraham
United Church, with a light luncheon tea followed by a
brief business meeting. The program will begin around
12:30. The general public, guests, and prospective new
members are welcome (the $5 guest fee includes the luncheon).

Hampden will be hosting a Wine and Beer Tasting on
Saturday, April 21 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Country
Club of Wilbraham.
In addition to the tastings there will be artwork for
sale, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and hot hors d’oeurves
