Opportunity Europe
Once again ESP had a stand at this increasingly popular
event where over 2,000 students visited over 2 days
in October to find out more about working, studying,
travelling and volunteering in Europe. Our thanks to all
the ESP students and teachers who came to say hello!
Journey Through Europe
Our thanks to the European
Commission Representation in
Ireland for funding the publication
of an updated version of this
excellent European Citizenship
classroom resource pack. Hard
copies are being distributed to
schools on visits and more copies
will be available at the spring
conferences. This new version is also
downloadable from the homepage of
the ESP website,
www.european-studies.org.
ESP Platform
The Communication Platform is busier than ever with
the majority of teachers having now re-registered on
the site following last year’s server crash. Many have
also had their students register (create an account) and
are actively collaborating with partners on agreed ESP
activities.
Training on the Platform will continue at the planning
conferences in spring 2012 but if, in the meantime you
have any problems with the Platform then please email

“Goodbye & Thanks”
Warm appreciation is extended to all the work done by
many of our retiring ESP coordinating teachers including
Heather Chambers, Strabane Grammar, Northern Ireland
and Pat Keane, Claremorris, Mayo, Ireland.
Farewell also to Katrinka van Vuure who is leaving the
post of Elos project coordinator.
