For over fifty years, Burt Reynolds has
enjoyed enormous success as an actor and
director in films, on stage and in television.
Mr. Reynolds is an Academy Award
nominee and a Golden Globe winner for his
brilliant work in Boogey Nights. He was
honored by The New York Film Critics, the
Chicago Film Critics and the National
Society of Film Critics with Best Supporting
Actor awards for his memorable role as
Jack Horner in that film.
Burt Reynolds earned a star on the
Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1978. He has
been awarded an Emmy for Outstanding
Lead Actor in a Series (Evening
Shade/1991), a Golden Globe for Best
Performance by an Actor (Evening
Shade/1992) and nine People’s Choice
Awards – just to name a few. In 1978 and
1980, Burt Reynolds was Male Star of the
Year for the National Association of
Theater Owners. For five years in a row, the
People’s Choice Awards honored him as
America’s Favorite All Around Motion
Picture Actor – a record no one else has
ever achieved.

well as preserving Mr. Reynolds’ vast
collection of Hollywood memorabilia

Monday – Teleprompter: A Tool for the Actor
and Business Professional w/Patty Serrano
This six week course provides an opportunity to learn
and grow comfortable with the use of teleprompters.
Included will be host, technique, cold read
preparation, walk and talk, ad lib and on the set dos
and don’ts. If public speaking gives you the jitters,
this course will calm your nerves.
$120 – six-week course

Tuesday – Screenwriting 101 w/Frank Eberling
Screenwriting 101 is a six week course that explores
the fundamentals of screenwriting for today's films.
The course will cover basic storytelling, an
exploration of screenplay structure, plot
development, character creation and dialogue as well
as standard formatting rules. Emphasis will be
placed on meeting ACT 1 requirements, pitching
your story concept, and avoiding common rookie
pitfalls.
$120 – six-week course
January 10 through February 14 @ 7 pm
Wednesday – Improv 101+ w/T. Vittum
Tired of tripping over your own feet when you walk
into a room? Would you like to the life of the party?
Perhaps your sales pitch and presentation skills could
use a little tweaking. Maybe you need help staying a
step ahead of the competition. No matter the reason,
you will find what you’re looking for on Wednesday
evenings at BRIFT. Instructor and Master Class actor
Todd Vittum brings his expertise to the classroom,
teaching his students to “think quick” and increase
their self-confidence. The class is ongoing.

Friday - Morning Musings at the Museum w/Frank
Eberling
Coconut Ink is a six week examination of almost
sixty Florida writers since the late 1700s to the
present day including biographical information, their
impact on perceptions of Florida, their literary
legacies, biographical filmed documentaries and
videotaped interviews produced by Frank Eberling.
$10/class - $15/couple

What Has Hollywood Done to My Florida
Stories? is a four week look into how Hollywood
has adapted the stories and novels of Florida into
films. The course includes clips of films and
discussions on adaptation process.

Improv for Young Actors offers the same “think on
your feet” training available to adults – but geared for
Sunday those 12 – Fundamentals – 17 years of Acting age. A w/S. guaranteed Roberts selfconfidence
booster. The class is ongoing.
$10/class @ 10 am
Sunday – Fundamentals of Acting w/S. Roberts
Fundamentals $10/class – 10 of am Acting to noon is open to all performers but is
especially beneficial to novice actors wishing to learn
and perfect the finer points of theatrical technique.
Course includes an introduction to the rehearsal
process, play scripts, scenes, staging and performance.
The class is ongoing.
