Welcome! It’s great to be together again today. I’m very pleased to welcome those of you who are visiting Elim today. There are connection cards located in each pew and you can visit our website to find out more information about our church and events – www.elim.nf.ca This morning is a children’s emphasis service here at Elim. Children are a vital part of our church. We are pleased to have them involved today in a special way. Special thanks to Pastor Tiffany and all our children’s ministry volunteers who invest in the lives of our children. This week we begin week 5 in our Essential Jesus Bible Reading Challenge. There is nothing that feeds our faith like a consistent diet of God’s word. The theme of our readings this week is, Prophecies About a Savior. An important feature of Old Testament prophecy is how it frequently predicted the coming of the Messiah, who would bring God’s salvation to earth. This week we will read a few of the hundreds of specific predictions about the coming of Jesus Christ. By the time we complete this section; there will be no mystery– Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled every prophecy about the coming Messiah. Blessings, Pastor Russell Elim Tabernacle traces its roots to the Pentecostal Revival that began in St. John’s over a century ago – on Easter Sunday, 1911. In the Old Testament we read that the word Elim refers to a ‘place of refreshing’ – an oasis of palm trees and springs in the midst of a dry and barren desert. That is what we want our church to be – a place where those in need can find shelter, where those who thirst spiritually can find the living water of the Word of God. An oasis in the midst of a troubled world; a place of ministry, of rest, of revival – a place of refreshing.
The Elim Leaders Summit provides a unique opportunity to encourage and inspire Elim leadership teams and individuals, bringing them together for greater effectiveness wherever they serve.
The summit helps both full-time and volunteer Elim leaders by going beyond inspirational teaching and providing practical, equipping resources that help to sharpen their own personal ministry.
