Young artists showcase their talents for <strong>Courier</strong><br />
Young minds come up with some of the most interesting ideas and the <strong>Caledonia</strong> area has some very talented artists in its midsts.<br />
Once again this year <strong>The</strong> <strong>Caledonia</strong> <strong>Argus</strong> utilized this wealth of talent to help us produce the <strong>2012</strong> <strong>Caledonia</strong> <strong>Courier</strong>. Our staff had<br />
a great time looking at all the artwork produced by students in grades 3-5 in all three of <strong>Caledonia</strong>’s elementary schools: <strong>Caledonia</strong> Area<br />
Elementary, St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and St. John’s Lutheran. And we had a very difficult time selecting the winning drawings!<br />
<strong>The</strong> fifth graders were asked to come up with the <strong>Courier</strong> cover design. Many of the entries showcased the beautiful area in which we<br />
live and demonstrated an appreciation of the environment.<br />
Students in grades 3 and 4 were asked to design ads for local businesses. We have many talented students who show a lot of imagination!<br />
After the ads were completed, many were sold to the businesses they advertised. For each ad sold, $5 was donated to the school that<br />
the artist attends. <strong>The</strong> section would not be possible without the support of businesses in our school district or the cooperation of our<br />
schools and teachers. A big thank you to all of them!<br />
